The end of another year is upon us, and that means that our humble little tech video show, Bleeding Edge TV, is turning 3 years old. We figured we’d highlight the ten episodes that you guys watched most over the past year in this recap. We find it hilarious that the most watched video just happened to be the one where one of us willingly got tasered during CES, but hey, why should we be surprised? Aside from that, video games seemed to be popular, as well as some straight up hardware. Hit the jump for the full list.
Oh, and while you’re at it, go ahead and check out the 10 most popular videos from 2007 as well.

WowWee has finally moved on from their inane Chatterbots to bring us all the Tribot, which we first introduced you to in February from the CES. Obviously named for its three-wheeled base, the bot can move in 8 directions (including diagonal.)The kewl tilt trigger button allows you to move him in directions by just moving the remote around. He will also tell jokes and stories and refers to himself as “the most rad robot in the galaxy.”
Wait, there’s more. Use Tribot as a guard against alien bots or dogs, as an alarm that needs a tap on the head to shut him up, challenge him to a game of hide and seek, or play one of three driving games. We would have been happy if he just cleaned up our room.

See Bugs Better With Improved EyeClops
Posted by Sheila Franklin Categories: CES, CES 2008, Misc. Tech, Science, Toys,
We aren’t all that crazy about gadgets that have the potential to hurt any living creature under the guise of science, but apparently the JAKKS EyeClops was so well received that they updated the device. It now has 3 lenses for 100x, 200x and 400x magnifications. You can still play back images on your TV so your whole family can be freaked out by spiders. This would be particularly meaningful if you had at least a 42-inch screen. There is now an optional vacuum with detachable lid so that you can suck up the little buggers. The new and improved EyeClops will still be available for $50.00 this fall with the vacuum costing an additional $15.00.

Somehow we managed to overlook this rather unique ornithopter from our CES reports. Interactive Toy’s i-Fly Vamp is less than 10-inches, will soar both indoors and out, and is recommended for those over the chronological age of 8. It features a built-in lithium polymer battery that can last up to 30 minutes. The controller itself need 6 AA batteries. We have to admit the kewlest feature, however, is that glowing red eye. The Vamp is available at Radio Shack for $35.99, recently marked down $5.00. Here’s looking at you, kid.

Tribute to the Little Frogs in the Big CES Pond
Posted by Sheila Franklin Categories: CES, CES 2008, Editorial, Video Games,
It’s been a long week. Imagine being one of the vendors at the CES, overwhelmed by all the electronic sights and sounds, not to mention being in Vegas in the first place. After all the hoopla, it’s time to pack up and move on to Macworld, unless you are like Innex, who features small items like this tiny Mario Kart Style Stylus Pen for Nintendo DS. Do you suppose that companies like this get overlooked in the 150-inch screens and lost in the latest in iTech? Our kudos to the little guys, the tireless sales reps that probably would just rather be home playing Mario Kart.

CES 2008: golla, for Those Who Have
Posted by Sheila Franklin Categories: Accessories, Smartphones, CES, CES 2008, Design, Handhelds, PC / Laptop, Portable Audio / Video,
We don’t often indulge in designer goods, but this is the CES and we want to be fair. The website alone was so impressive that we just had to mention it. First off, Finland’s golla bags are a “collection, ” not an assortment, that changes bi-annually. They describe themselves as a blend of “lifestyle, fashion, and technology.” We didn’t check, but we are pretty sure Paris must have one of their mobile, musical, digi, laptop bags and sleeves, or backbags. Look at this! It’s a cotton, polyester, spandex sock! Finally, don’t even hunt around the site for a price. Once again, if you have to ask… By the way, ever since someone stole our flipVideo cover, we have been using an old Nike sock to carry it around. Price: $00.00. Usefulness: priceless.

CES 2008: Watch Your iPod
Posted by Sheila Franklin Categories: Accessories, CES, CES 2008, Handhelds, Portable Audio / Video, Video Games,
You can now watch music videos or movies on the move and look even sillier
cooler than you do when normally dancing around and playing your fave tunes. In cooperation with INNO Design, Myvu has created 2 new styles of their personal media viewers that can attach to Sansa -Views, Zunes, various Nokia N95 and Samsung phones, portable DVD players, game consoles, and of course viewable iPods. Slim, lightweight, and see-through, the Crystal glasses come with noise-cancelling earbuds and a rechargeable lithium-polymer battery for up to 4 hours of viewing time. Myvu Shades are available now at Amazon for $199.99 and the Crystal will be following along this spring for $299.99. We can’t imagine spending that much money to watch something on an even smaller screen, no matter how awesome you think you will look.

CES 2008: Portable Scoreboard for Jocks
Posted by Sheila Franklin Categories: CES, CES 2008, Music, Portable Audio / Video,
Seventy 7’s Felip Ivanovski’s baby is his Versus Scoreboard. A former professional phys. ed. instructor, he thought it would be nice to have a counter made of more than just wood. The device features 2 10W speakers, a mic, a countdown timer, buzzer, period tracker, and can be customized with a faceplate of the sponsor’s name. Its LED settings will work both indoors and out, and its RF remote can apparently work through walls. We dig that it can jeer or applaud and can be taught team specific team chants. The Scoreboard can double as a boom box with MP3 playback.Running on battery or AC power, contact Seventy 7 for further info and price.
