Nyko iPod Movie Player To Hit Stores In November
Posted by Devin Categories: Accessories, Home Entertainment, Movies, Portable Audio / Video,
Ever since the iPod was released, companies from all over have come out with various gadgets to further enhance Apple’s top selling portable music player. Nyko has come up with a device to help turn your iPod into a movie player. That’s right, come November you’ll be able to fill up your iPod with as many movies as you can, then watch them on the go with the Nyko Movie Player. The player is expected to retail anywhere between $200-$250 and will feature a 3.6” high resolution screen, 2 headphone ports, a video-out port allowing you to view your movies on any TV, and a video-in port giving you the ability to record directly from your television. As you can see, the iPod plug right into a slot beneath the control panel.

Like some of our readers, I decided to see Batman Begins the day it came out. When I was a child, Batman was one of my favorite superheros, kind of in the way that Spider-Man or the Hulk is to many young children nowadays. I loved Tim Burton’s Batman, and I really enjoyed Batman Returns, but when Joel Schumacher’s Batman Forever was released I, like many others, lost interest in the Batman series. I didn’t even bother to see Schumacher’s Batman & Robin, and when I heard that another film would bare the Batman name I was less than enthused. Once I began to see the previews in theaters and on television, the movie began to peak my interest. As I looked closer and saw a new director, a new Batman, a plot that would show me how my favorite superhero came to be and also tie into the 1989 Batman film, I began thinking this film would be well worth a look. I had my Wednesday night planned, and with a package of candy hidden in my pocket, I entered the theater.

OS X Hack: Save iTunes Videos to your Mac’s Desktop
Posted by Kristin Wenzel Categories: Mods / Hacks, Movies, Music, Software,
Ever since iTunes unveiled their music video section (free music videos you can watch via streaming media in the iTunes player) it’s been frustrating to have to wait for the videos to buffer before watching them. Another irritation is that you can’t watch the videos in full-screen, even if you have Quicktime Pro. But can it be done? As always, we have your hookup. You see, digging through the web doesn’t help – the instructions out there on the Internet are rather vague and half of them don’t work. Trust me – I’ve tried. The only viable solution seemed to be to use a video capture program but then you generally won’t have audio — defeating the purpose of a music video. It seemed like a lost cause, that is, until now. On his website “A Warm Gun,” Seattle web designer, tech blogger and self-proclaimed Mac geek Ian Adams details for the world exactly how one should go about this suprisingly simple (albeit slightly unintuitive) proccess, in language that anyone who is familiar with MacOSX should be able to understand. It’s so easy once you get the directions right! All you need is an AppleScript, a few videos you’d like to save, an Internet connection and some spare time. Be sure to give it a try, this is one hack that Mac users shouldn’t miss! Save iTunes Videos to your Desktop | awarmgun.net
