Darth Vader Clock

Let the force be with you, even at night. The Darth Vader Alarm Clock projects the time onto the ceiling, with a red snooze alarm button that doubles as a nightlight. Of course Darth’s lightsaber also lights up, just in case you can’t sleep and want a middle of the night challenge to the evil dude. Available next month, $29.99 is a small price to pay to contribute to your Star Wars collection of useless, yet beloved memorabilia.

Dinosaur freaks will adore this lifesize version of the Camarasaurus. At the gimongous size of 20 x 56 x 10 feet, this overgrown reptile weighs about 3,748 lbs. Imagine your neighbor’s reaction when they find this towering over your house as a giant watchdog.  Its price is the equally enormous £28,999.99 (~$58,336.00.) Banana Guard

Is it me, or is looking at this item making you think of endless R-rated jokes? Anyway, it’s not what you think it is (whatever that may be). It’s the Banana Guard, a storage case that protects the vulnerable, potassium-rich fruit from bruises and smushing. The Banana Guard was “designed to fit the vast majority of bananas,” is easy to open and close and even makes a snapping sound when shut. Great for kids, it comes in 5 pretty colors (with a glow-in-the-dark one coming soon!) and you can even have a company name or logo printed on it (on larger orders). C’mon people, how can you not love an item with the

double-entendre

slogan “Protect your Banana”? Available for $7 USD.

PetCell

Similar to the Hear Now that we introduced you to last fall, PetsMobility’s PetsCell is a waterproof GPS tracker that will notify you when your furry friend steps outside a pre-programmed area. In addition, the collar has a built-in cell phone so that you can chat with your pooch, or for others to contact you should your dog stray a little too far from home. The company also features PawTrax, an online system to track your pooch via the Internet that includes a sensor to keep track of the temperature surrounding your pet. Now we’re thinking, how far away will your pet be that you need to use that particular capability? Contact PetsMobility for price and availability.

Earth and Moon Rugs

Instead of projecting our planet and moon on your ceiling, why not walk all over it? These rugs are created out of virgin wool in six colors. The Earth Rug has a diameter of 98.5-inches with a huge price of $2752.80 while the Moon is 47.25-inches and can be yours for $824.60. At prices like that, perhaps it would be best to offer the rugs to traveling aliens who are looking for souvenirs to take back to their planets instead of the usual t-shirts.

Messenger ToasterMessenger Toaster

We’ve seen plenty of toasters that imprint dinosaurs, skulls and crossbones, and even Hello Kitty on bread, but this is the first one we have found that sounds practical. With designer Sasha Tseng’s Messenger Toaster, you can write a quick note on top so that when your significant other awakens he/she will have a honey-do list and breakfast. This prototype might also serve as an excellent excuse. “Sorry dear, I guess I ate the grocery list.”
