iPhone nano cases go on sale - A sign of things to come?

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Accessories, Apple, Smartphones, Handhelds, Rumors,

iPhone nano. Get ready for the iPhone hype to start again, if the case design by Xskn is to be believed. Oh, wait, did we say design? We meant the iPhone nano case that Xskn started selling today. If you are unfamiliar with XSKN, they are the company that Steve Jobs referred to earlier this year during a keynote, where he mentioned that some manufacturers leak things before the company gets to announce them. Back then it was their iPhone 3G case, and it was dead on. With MacWorld 2009 just around the corner, could we be introduced to a new, smaller, and cheaper iPhone? Time will tell.

Posted by Sheila Franklin Categories: Smartphones, Handhelds, Misc. Tech, Music, Portable Audio / Video,

Others involve families who put iPod earphones on their deceased loved ones and played a tune when the casket closed. We hope they used some decent batteries.

GPS Homing Device Leads You Back To Where You Started

Posted by Patrick Phelps Categories: GPS, Handhelds,
If you’re anything like several people we know and get lost in your own driveway, we’ve found a new device to help get you oriented. Hammacher Schlemmer’s keychain GPS Homing Device promises to take you back to a predetermined starting point (within five yards). Say you’ve parked your car in the giant parking lot at the mall and come stumbling out with armloads of new purchases - if you pressed one of two simple buttons to set the location of your car, this little wonder fob will tell you exactly in which direction you need to go.
At $79.95 for the water resistant, drink coaster sized unit which includes a self-calibrating digital compass and a lanyard, we’re more inclined to suggest that you get a “more complicated,” fully functional portable GPS unit for a few dollars more. And, if along with being directionally challenged, you have a habit of losing your keys, this is definitely not the device for you…
