We first told you about Animasher in May but were cautioned by co-creator Martin Jacobson that we got a little too excited too soon. However, he let us know that the Beta launch is now official. Simply choose pictures, drag and drop, add music and sound effects, and you could be the next Monty Python or JibJab rival.
We understand that the Animasher originated in Sweden when Martin’s programmer friend Samuel wanted to make fun of him online. Nine months later, Animasher was born. It must be some friendship to inspire an entire website, eh?

New Name, Better Gadget Pouches: Hard Graft Dapper Collection

Working Class Heroes, the brand known for their minimalist felt gadget pouches, has returned with a new name and a brand new collection. Now known as Hard Graft, the new Dapper collection has been unveiled and three new designs have been added to the Hard Graft repertoire. Still constructed of high quality wool felt and leather, the Dapper collection features pockets reminiscent of those found on jeans, just big enough for an iPod or iPhone. And the collection now features three new pouch styles, two created specifically for the Kindle and the iPhone and a new Laptop Wallet featuring snaps along the open end. Prices for the entire collection range from 19 to 89 Euros and Hard Graft’s online store is open for business.

We have a friend who got an air purifier that he could never figure out how to work, but then our friend is obviously not the brightest bulb in the chandelier. The result is that there is more dust on the thing than in it. Would that he had Joseph Kim’s Daan (Korean for column.) The prototype consists of simple disks that combine to handle any size room. Single ones can be used when you travel. The Daan is constructed of brushed aluminum and fabric.

Simpson Motorcycle Helmet Mouse

Simpson motorcycle fans will love this helmet that is actually a mouse made by motopuran. The device is licensed and built to scale with an optical system of 600 dpi, left and right click buttons, and a scroll wheel. Choose between black, silver, red, and yellow. Compatible with Windows 98 and newer and Mac OSX, the USB mouse comes with a removable cord for displaying for ¥2,380 (~$22.00.) That’s pretty clever but we think we will wait for the Harley version.

This clock is just a bit to far fetched for those of us that don’t do breakfast. Place a frozen piece of bacon in the slot of Wake n’ Bacon before you hit the sack, and the clock goes off 10 minutes before you want to get up. When the alarm hits, the clock sends a signal to a small speaker that reroutes it to a relay, then to two halogen lamps. The result is that you awaken to the smell of cooked pig. Designer Matty Sallin is thinking of adding calendar aware to his prototype so it will not go off on weekends and holidays. We think he should add a self-cleaning feature and perhaps something that would ensure we don’t get food poisoning.

Brazil’s Meninos Design Studio were making custom USB hard drive cases for their friends and they were so popular that they decided to go public. Each one is hand-assembled in acrylic with a vinyl wrapper. You also have the option of uploading your own design with their custom template. Expect designer prices of $250.00 for only a case, or $400.00 to $620.00 for those with drives. We bet they could expand to make flash drives and clean up.

The firm FAK3 designed this very unique piece of furniture. The Elliptical Wooden Cabinet rotates 360º with sides that house a keyboard, desk, storage center, and TV. It is made with industrial strength ball bearings that can support up to 2 tons. Large as it is, it only takes one finger to rotate the cabinet. Because it has an off-centered axis, when the unit turns, each side is has its own design. We want one!
