Sony has updated their USB Walkman E-Series, the 2GB NW-E042 and 4GB NW-043, and added an 8GB NW-E044. With a 3-line color LCD display, it also has FM tuner, SonicStage V music management software and support MP3, ATRAC, AAC, WAV and WMA. Find out what your date is really thinking. The Truth Wristband kit measures the galvanic skin response which is used in larger lie detector tests, and turns from blue to red when the wearer gets nervous. All the parts you need are included: an etched PCB, finger strap, Velcro wristband, TRUTH face plate, batteries and instructions. You need to do some soldering but for $44.95, we figure it should pay for itself after the first transgression.

These Korean Transformers are clever enough if you are thinking gifts. One of the cameras is in the shape of a 35mm roll of film. Curiously, you have to load a 35mm roll of film to get it to operate. The other is disguised as a coffee can and thankfully is not powered by a shot of caffeine. Each is 65 x 141mm, and will set you back 27,000 KRW (~$20.00) at 10x10.

Kyle A. Koch was really jazzed with his iPhone because it kept everything in one place. He would snap pictures of things, such as class assignments, so he wouldn’t lose them. But since they didn’t always come out clear enough, he designed the Scandock. At a size of 15.5 x 9.5 x 15-inches, it is made of corrugated cardboard and comes flat packed for a mere $16.00. He will engrave a logo on it and you can download his .eps files for free. There is limited distribution of the Scandock, but contact Kyle to work something out.

The Vertigo is a handy device that will self-heat your food and beverages and is eco-friendly at the same time. Crispin Jones, of the MJW watches and the Tengu, has a new design. The New Decider helps you make those split second choices. When someone asks you a question, simply look at the magnified dial for a yes/no answer. While it may not be the correct answer, you can always reinforce it by rechecking the watch (or blaming it.) The Decider is only available in a Special Edition of 100 with its number engraved on the back of the case for $145.00.

Elecom Japan Scope Node M-SN1UL Mouse
Posted by Sheila Franklin Categories: Design, Peripherals, USB,
Elecom Japan has come up with what they feel is a mouse that is as close to providing “pen and Paper” precision as one can get. The 3-button Scope Node M-SN1UL is certainly high end with a 1600dpi laser sensor that is off-center to simulate where a pen point would be located in your hand. The USB mouse is compatible with both Windows and Mac. Available in black, mat silver or glossy silver, expect a price of ¥6,000 (~$61.00.)
