“Ultimate in photographic creativity.” That’s a direct quote from the Samsung press release, as it pertains to the new WB5000 digital camera. This digital camera can shoot 12.5 megapixel images, as well as 720p HD video recorded in H.264. It also sports a 26mm lens with 24X optical zoom, and can also shoot in RAW format. Samsung hasn’t gotten official with date or price, but we are hearing that it’ll ship later this month for $550.

Casio announces two new point-and-shoots in the EX-Z280 and EX-Z33

Casio continues rolling out their fall line of digital cameras, following up on the announcement of the EX-Z450 and EX-Z90 units with new announcements of the EX-Z280 and EX-Z33.
The EX-Z280 is a 12-megapixel ultracompact, with 2.7-inch LCD. It also has a wide-angle lens with 4x zoom, and 720p HD-quality video capture with the green screen Dynamic Photo function seen at CES last January. It will be available in September for $179.99, and you can pre-order it on Amazon.
The EX-Z33, pictured above, is a 10-megapixel model with 2.5 inch LCD and 3x optical zoom. It features face detection, VGA movie mode, and other scene modes. It will be also be available in September for $119.99, and can be pre-ordered on Amazon.

The SD940 has a 12.1 Megapixel sensor, 28mm wide-angle lens with 4X Optical Zoom. It has a 2.7 inch LCD, and is capable of 720p videos. It will be available in September for a price of $300. You can pre-order it on Amazon.
The SD980 also has the 12.1 Megapixel sensor, 24 mm wide-angle lens with 5X Optical Zoom. Its screen is a 3.0 inch PureColor System LCD touchscreen, and the camera is also capable of 720p. This will be available in October for $429, and you can order it on Amazon now for $329.

Hot on the heels of announcing the EX-Z450 and EX-Z90 digital cameras, Casio has just announced the new EX-Z33. Features include 10.1 Megapixels, a 3x optical zoom, plus a 2.5-inch widescreen. It also has automatic face recognition, best shot function, and auto-shutter mode. There is also a built-in YouTube mode like a lot of other Elixim models. There is no word on price just yet.

Canon Vixia HF S11 records 24 hours of HD video

Canon has got a new camcorder ready to hit the market in the Vixia HF S11. The Vixia HF S11 comes with 64 GB worth of internal memory, alongside an SDHC slot, and can record 24 hours worth of video in high definition. It also has an 8.59 Full HD CMOS image sensor, a Digic DV II image processor, and also takes 8 megapixel photos. You can choose between shooting in 24p cinema mode as well as 30p progressive mode. The Canon VIXIA HF S11 retails for $1,600, but you can pre-order it on Amazon for $200 less.

Casio has recently announced two 12.1 megapixel point-and-shoot cameras recently, both of which can detect humans and objects, and then automatically set the focus for better shots. The EX-Z450 has a 3 inch LCD screen, a 28 mm 4x optical zoom lens and ISO range of 64 to 3,200. The EZ-Z90 has a 2.7 inch LCD, 3x optical zoom, and ISO range of 64 to 1,600.
The Z450 will be available in Japan on August 28 in gold, red, pink, (with brown and silver models on September 11th) for a price of $380. The EX-Z90 will be available on September 11 in gold, silver, pink, blue, and black for a price of $210.
