Touch Cover for Microsoft Surface tablet sports multitouch keyboard

The first accessory announced for the new Microsoft Surface tablet today is the Touch Cover. A seemingly brilliant take on the tablet cover accessory, the Touch Cover serves as both a protective cover for Surface, as well as a full multitouch keyboard. You just open up the Surface kickstand, and the Touch Cover lays flat (3mm thin) and even registers typing faster than any other keyboard currently on the market, according to Microsoft. You get a full keyboard and touchpad. If that isn't your jam, you can opt for the Surface Type Cover instead.

We just hit you with our full Apple iPad Smart Case review, and you should really check that out if you're considering picking up Apple's first full case for its popular tablet. In addition to the written review, we've put together a gallery of images showing off the good and the bad--and there's a lot of bad in our mind. As you'll see, ports don't line up with the holes in the case, and there's an odd lip all around the perimeter that just makes it awkward to hold. This week Apple released the iPad Smart Case, a polyurethane product that covers and protects both the front and back of the the iPad shell. Compatible with both the iPad 2 and the new third-generation iPad, this is the first full case that Apple has offered for its popular tablet, and it's being sold for $49. Apple releases Smart Case for new iPad

Apple has announced the new Smart Case accessory for the new iPad. The Smart Case is similar to the Smart Cover that's been available since the iPad 2 shipped, but it protects both the front and back of the new iPad shell. It's available in six colors, and can even be personalized with free laser engraving, a first for an Apple accessory. The Smart Case also features the familiar tri-fold design that the Smart Cover has, allowing you to comfortably use the iPad to type and watch media. Belkin Thunderbolt Express Dock picks up USB 3.0, eSATA ports

If you thought the Belkin Thunderbolt Express Dock looked good before, wait until you hear about the pre-launch upgrades it's just picked up. It still packs in the dual Thunderbolt ports, FireWire 800, Gigabit Ethernet, and audio in and out. Now, though, it will also include an eSATA port, as well as three USB 3.0 ports as well. That new goodness comes with a higher price tag though, as the dock wil now cost $399 (rather than the previously-announced $299) at launch. It'll be available next month directly from Belkin.

V-MODA Crossfade M-80 headphones now available in White Pearl

V-MODA has unveiled a new version of its Crossfade M-80 headphones this morning. More than just a new color, the White Pearl Crossfades also bring with them a new SpeakEasy cable, which makes it easier to have phone conversations. The SpeakEasy cable features a better microphone for voice recognition in noisy places, and also has more convenient mic control placement as well. Other than that, these are the same Crossfade M-80 on-ear headphones that you're accustomed to. The White Pearl Crossfade headphones retail for $230, but you can get them on Amazon for $199.

Bowden + Sheffield Minimalist iPad cases are beautifully functional

We know that it's hard to find variety when looking for a great iPad case. Our main problem with the cases is that we want something that adds a level of form and function while also offering protection, but we don't want something that hard to take the iPad out of, because we don't want to use an iPad that's stuck in a bulky case. Up until now, there's been no way for us to have our cake and eat it too, but that's set to change with the success of the Bowden + Sheffield Minimalist iPad Cases Kickstarter project. While the project wraps up in 16 more hours as of this writing, it's surpassed its $20,000 goal. What makes this case so good? Well, for starters, both cases look fantastic. The case designs are similar, with the difference lying in the materials.
