The Water- and Scratch-Proof Sony VAIO Type G Notebook

Posted by Lolita Beckwith Categories: Design, PC / Laptop

Sony Vaio

Sony has introduced its new VAIO Type G notebook, which actually has a drainage system built under the palm rest, and draining holes under the notebook itself. Plus, if you spill your Pumpkin Spice Latte on the machine, it automatically shuts off (Sony does recommend having the computer checked out anyway). In addition, the LCD screen has a special coating to prevent scratches, and can withstand a drop from 28” while turned on, and almost 35.5” when powered off.  This take-no-prisoners VAIO is available in Japan for approximately $1500 USD, depending on how it’s customized. No word on when it will be available stateside.
