CPR Teddy: The “Toy” that Can Save a Life

Posted by Lolita Beckwith Categories: Misc. Tech, Toys

CPR Teddy

Yes, he’s a cuddly and awfully sweet teddy bear, and even has a red heart on his chest. Awwwwwwww! But CPR Teddy is all business, as he was actually designed to teach child and infant CPR and Choking Rescue. Just press his paw, and voice prompts teach you the basics. That red heart? That’s where you perform chest compressions as a beeping metronome keeps the pace. That innocuous-looking bow tie? It lights up green or red according to how well you’re doing. And when you perform rescue breathing, Teddy’s chest will rise up and down. CPR Teddy may be a far cry from our beloved Build-a-Bear, but we love him just the same. Available for $80-$130 USD.
