MySpace Gets Into Politics

Tom Anderson, Chris DeWolfe

Last Friday night, the creative forces behind MySpace, Tom Anderson and Chris DeWolfe, gave a rare interview on Nightline to promote their new addition to their site, a “Presidential Town Hall,” which will begin this fall. MySpace will host hour-long meetings on college campuses which will be webcast on the site. Viewers can ask questions while watching the events or register to vote if they become democratically fervent when watching the candidates. As of now, each of the them has a MySpace page, which means that as of 2008, our new prez will have one. We’re not sure that we want to add them to our friends list just yet.
