ID Analytics Reports High-Risk Identity Loss Locations
If you live in New York, LA, or Detroit, you are at the highest risk of identity loss. This report, issued today by ID Analytics, also states that Wyoming, Vermont, and Montana are at the bottom of the list. Complaints of this nature, which include bank, credit card, phone, and utilities fraud, continue to be reported to the FTC and accounted for 36% of the over 670,000 complaints in 2006. Our hearts go out to one of our Metro Detroit internet friends who told us that just last week, someone stole his identity, and had him/herself one hell of a $400.00 shopping spree online at Victoria’s Secret.
