Charge Batteries Using USB Port With USBCell

Posted by Lolita Beckwith Categories: Accessories, USB, Misc. Tech

USBCell Rechargeable Batteries

We recently stated that Bluetooth is our new BFF, thanks to its numerous and revolutionary uses. Well now we have a second BFF, for pretty much the same reasons: the USB port. There seems to be no end to the (sometimes wacky) uses for this under-appreciated power source, from thumb drives to heating up gloves. And now comes USBCell, rechargeable batteries from Moixa. Just flip down the battery’s cap, plug into a USB port, and you’re instantly recharging. Easy and portable, no wires or cables, perfect for travelers. Currently, USBCell is only available in AA cell, with 9-Volt and (love this) cell phone batteries coming soon. A 2-pack of AA is available for just under $22 USD plus free shipping.
