Phantom Makes Console Disappear

Phantom Lapboard Gear Live sister site Playfeed took note today that the once touted Phantom video game console has finally disappeared into the ether. Phantom Entertainment, aka Infinium Labs, is now taking pre-orders for a “Phantom Lapboard”, priced at $129.95.

Phantom is also apparently planning their broadband gaming service, no longer with the Phantom console albatross around its neck. This Phantom Game Service looks like it will need to be reengineered first, according to Phantom, to run as client software on personal computers operating Windows XP and Windows XP Media center operating systems. We’ll not hold our breath waiting for either the devices or online service to materialize.
