New Canon DVD Camcorder Offers HD Recording
Canon this week unveiled a new mid-level DVD camcorder priced at $699. The DC22 is expected to be available before month’s end.
The Canon DC22 DVD camcorder has a 10x optical zoom and 2.2 megapixel CCD image sensor for capturing and recording video to three inch DVD-R/-RW discs, which can store up to 60 minutes of video and are compatible with many home DVD players. This recording capability includes high resolution widescreen 16:9 recording. Other features of the DC22 include a 2.7” widescreen LCD, a RGB primary color filter, three fixed zoom speeds and a mode which offers indicator markers that allow users to center and level their picture.
