Minox DC 8122: 8.1-megapixel Camera in a Slim Package

Posted by Dave White Categories: Cameras

Super thin camera for everybody, the Minox DC 8122Minox, the German camera and video manufacturer, is back with another digital handheld shooter, the latest in the best-selling DC series. This one is the DC 8122, and it is super-friendly in features like image stabilization and easy focus, as well as packing in 8.1 megapixels of resolution (thus the name).

This is a really slim camera, coming in at just 1.1 inches thick, with the zoom lens retracted. That zoom gives you 6x the sharpness for those far-away yet close objects. You’ll also appreciate the built-up memory—32MB, to be price. The last feature to note is one that a new camera release wouldn’t be caught dead without these days—VGA video. You probably won’t be able to save much high-grade video on that 32MB memory card, but the functionality is there should you want it.

The company hasn’t released pricing or release date info yet.
