Dell is boasting that this pioneering design is more than just an aesthetic, as it proves practical in maneuvering from touch to type within seconds. Other uses allow it to be used in conjunction with the Inspiron duo Audio Station docking bay for easily listening to music; browsing through your holiday photos; and parading around as an alarm clock. The Audio Station also doubles as a 7-in-1 card reader with two USB 2.0 ports and an Ethernet adapter. Oh, and it charges your Inspiron Duo as well.

The specs of the Inspiron Duo includes: a 10.1-inch touch display with a resolution of 1,366x768 pixels; Windows 7 Home Premium; a 1.5GHz Intel Atom processor; a 1.3-megapixel webcam and digital microphone; 2GB of DDR (double-data rate) RAM; hard drive options of 250GB and 320GB; Wi-Fi; and optional Bluetooth and 4G mobile broadband.

Dell’s Inspiron Duo is available now in the United States for $549 without the dock and $649 with it. Eager hands in the UK can get a hold of this tablet-PC starting Dec. 2^nd.
