Casio Recalls CTK-710 Keyboards
In a kind of déjà vu, Casio has recalled approximately 12,000 Electronic Keyboards with batteries that may turn the instruments into explosive devices. The model CTK-710 contains serial numbers 7030001 to 7040400 and 7041901 to 7043500. Most of those targeted came from Casio’s website, Best Buy, Wal-mart, catalogues, online retailers, and musical instrument stores. We think that pretty much means everywhere you shop.
Although only 5 cases have been reported thusfar, if you have one of these and purchased it between last May and February 2007, Casio suggests you unplug it immediately, remove the battery, and contact them at (866) 800-4302 between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m. ET during the week for a free replacement.
