Bleeding Edge Byte 012: Motorola SLVR and Motorola L6 Review

We recently put the Motorola SLVR and Motorola L6 phones to the test, and are ready to report back with our findings. If you are looking for an iTunes-compatible phone that also looks good (unlike the ROKR,) the SLVR just might be what you need if you are on Cingular’s network. If iTunes isn’t your thing - or if you have an iPod and don’t need a 100 song limit - then the blueish L6 might be more to your liking if ultra-slim phones are your thing. Forum Discussion

We use the open XviD codec. Let me know if that helps!

I installed XviD-1.1.0-30122005 _Final Release_ and its still a no go. Gspot identifies the codec 4C as FMP4 but I can't really find out which codec that is. Can you tell me where you installed your version of xvid from?

I use a program called VLC as my primary media player of choice, and it handles the files quite nicely. Let me know!
