2 Powerful & Stylish Gaming Laptops
The key feature of a gaming laptop is that it should be, you know, a laptop: Easy to pack up and carry around for gaming sessions at a friend's house or on the go. Too many gaming machines add so many extra bells and whistles that you need a crate just to carry them around, which kind of ruins the point. The best gaming laptops should be light enough to easily tote, offer enough customization for you to make them your own, and include powerful features that can deal with demanding games without burning out your hardware by the end of the month.
So, for the sake of truly portable gaming rigs that can still churn out top-notch performances for your favorite games, let's take a look at a couple of the best gaming laptops on the market, and just what you get when you buy one.
Asus ROG G75 - $2,999
This Asus machine manages to be both light and powerful at the same time: The screen is a large 17 inches, but the simple form factor let's this gaming laptop stay easy to carry around. Several customization options wait with the ROG G75, including up to 1TB of SATA storage, 512GB of SSD storage, 32GB of RAM, and Gsync tech.
Alienware 17 R3 - $1,499
We're not going to lie, 17 inches does once again make for a large computer: But otherwise this new Alienware 17 R3 model is surprisingly compact, with a classic shell that both protects it and makes it easy to hook under an arm for quick transport. The R3 model was updated in late 2015/early 2016 with better specs that really push it over the edge. These include a new powerful 6th-gen Core i7 processor and a 980M NVidia graphics card. The pretty lights and rigorous keyboard that Alienware laptops are known for are also present here.
