Interestingly enough, it turns out that some of the music on President Bush’s iPod is pirated if you go by RIAA standards. You see, George made it public knowledge that a friend of his loaded some of his music onto his iPod. That would be like you syncing your iTunes library to your friends iPod. That would be a no-no, no matter how ridiculous it sounds. So the folks at Downhill Battle want to make an example. They have registered the domain name SueThePresident.com in the spirit of showing the RIAA how stupid all these lawsuits are. If they were so concerned about piracy, why not sue George Bush? After all, he admitted it. If you want to run SueThePresident.com, Downhill Battle is giving the domain away. They will even host it for you if your content is deemed worthy.

This week’s release list is filled with action and comedy – genres sure to appeal to the majority. Topping this week’s list is Meet The Fockers. This hilarious sequel to the hit Meet The Parents will keep you entertained from beginning to end. This time we meet Gaylord’s (Ben Stiller) parents whom live in Florida and live a completely different lifestyle than Jack’s (Robert De Niro). Be sure to pick this one up this week. If action is what you are looking for then House of Flying Daggers is for you. This one comes loaded with great choreography and sharp flying weapons. If you enjoy martial arts films with great directing and visual eye candy, you’ll love this one.

Microsoft and Warner Brothers Team Up On High Definition Media

Microsoft and Warner brothers have announced that they will be teaming up to streamline the retail release of high definition movies and TV shows. Warner Brothers will be producing HD-DVDs using Microsoft’s VC-1 Standard - Windows Media Player 9. VC-1 is the mandatory codec for HD DVD and Blu-Ray discs. Blair Westlake, the corporate vice president for Microsoft Media, says, “Warner Brothers plan to use VC-1 for the release of HD DVDs presents consumers with exciting new options for watching high-definition content.”

After 2 million Nintendo DS units have been moved through retail, Nintendo has finally decided it was time to mix things up here in the US. Set to drop in June, he Electric Blue Nintendo DS will become a permanent fixture in the Nintendo DS line. For those wondering, this isn’t the same shade of blue used for the Japanese Pepsi Twist Nintendo DS promotion. The Electric Blue DS gives US gamers a choice between two colors, with the other being the original Titanium, while in Japan they will soon have a choice of five.

A new online payment service is set to launch this summer, and from what I am hearing, GreenZap has some big plans for their debut. While many have soured over how Paypal has treated them, there hasn’t really been an online payment service that has stepped up the the plate and become virtually universally accepted. This is what GreenZap aims to change. They state that they are here to take on Paypal, and lead the way for electronic payments. They will be accepted by eBay, Yahoo! Auctions, and many other online entities. Intel has announced today that their dual core chips have shipped to computer manufactures Alienware, Dell and Velocity Micro to be sold in their new computers. The new systems are powered by the Intel Pentium Processor Extreme Edition 840 running at 3.2 GHZ and the Intel 955X Express Chipset.
“With dual-core processor-based system availability, today is a historic date for the computer industry as PCs begin having “two brains” instead of one,” said Don MacDonald, vice president of Intel’s Digital Home Group.
The new dual core processor includes two full cores in a single processor and allows a system to process four software threads at the same time by using Intel’s Hyper-Threading technology. Granted, all this power does not come cheap – each processor is priced at $999 and the chipset is priced at $50 in 1,000 unit quantities. Prices will probably drop when AMD joins the dual core game.
