It’s about time that QWERTY keyboard cell phones started becoming affordable. Verizon has introduced the Blitz, a landscape oriented slider phone with a 2.2-in display with 220x176 pixel resolution. It also features a 1.3 mp camera and microSD slot. It has Bluetooth 2.0 capability with A2DP for stereo headsets, and of course it has VZ navigator and can receive V CAST Music with a Rhapsody subscription. You can get the electric blue Blitz now for $69.99 online with a 2 year subscription.

Mexico Allows Sales With Cell Phone

Want some Taco McNuggets and a cab ride but don’t have the cash? If you live in Mexico, you will soon be able to pay with your cell phone. Users link to their bank, then send the text message “Robert Rodriguez” to take care of the tab. Telefonica SA and Iusacell are getting together with banks to begin the service. While the practice of buying train tickets or items from vending machines with a cellie is already available in Japan, it seems that the U.S. has yet to get with the program (hint, hint.)

Microsoft Sidewinder X6 Keyboard With Switchable Keypad

For those of us who are southpaws, Microsoft is releasing the SideWinder X6 Keyboard with a first, a switchable key pad. Unveiled at the recent Games Convention in Leipzig, you can use it as a regular pad for computing or as a programmable macro pad and store up to 90 macros per game. It also has two-color back lighting for nighttime players and Cruise Control on up to 4 keys at a time. The X6 is compatible with XP/Vista and will be out next month with a MSRP of $79.95.

With built-in HDD, each has a dual digital TV tuner, a USB port, an HDMI output, a SD/SDHC card slot, and supports DTS-HD Master/ Dolby NR TrueHD/Dolby Digital plus codecs. Available September 1, the DIGAS have a writing speed of 6X in AVCHD (MPEG-4 AVC/H.264) format. Select between the DMR-BW930 model with 1TB, the BW830 with 500 GB, or the BW730 that holds 320GB. Microsoft just hit us with news that they have released the final box art for the upcoming Halo Wars title, and we figured that you would appreciate us filling you in. Here it is, in all its glory. This is done by the same team that did the Halo 2 and Halo 3 artworks. While we don’t yet have a release date for the game, we do know that you should be able to get your hands on Halo Wars in the first half of 2009.
