ALBOSanyo has released the ALBO, a new 7-inch LCD frame that will receive photos from your cell phone via IR and pick up RSS feeds with WiFi. The device has 256MB of memory and can be programmed for slide shows or with special effects. Working both vertically and horizontally, the ALBO will be out in Japan November 14 for 40,000 yen ($422.00.) We like the rounded shape that is either futuristic or retro, depending on your age.

Skull WatchThis spooky watch seems apropos for the upcoming holiday and any other time you are feeling mildly goth. The Marc Jacob Skull Watch has a nasal cavity that shows the hour and a drooping eye for the minute. Oracle Watch

Some of us spent our earlier years consulting the Chinese I Ching to help us make decisions when we were probably procrastinating. The text is created by a set of hexagrams that are arranged in specific patterns in 6 lines for a total of 64 different arrangements. Andy Kurovets has designed a prototype watch that does the same thing. You press the button 6 times to make a hexagram and it will guide you through all those rough spots. We think it would be nice to have our own Oracle around when we are indecisive.

Hey It's Free logoWe just had to share this site that we recently heard about. In a world of expensive electronics, there are actually some that you can get for free. Hey, It’s Free is a daily listing of all things that require no money to acquire. There are music and e-book downloads, links to old NES games online, free text messaging sites and even USB flash drives. While many of them expire rather quickly, it’s worth taking a look at the site as Goob and staff make sure that each of the items are checked out before posting. They also feature clothing, coupons, food, and many other freebies.

Minoru 3D WebcamWith the Minoru (which means “reality”) Webcam from Novo and a pair of glasses, you can see in 3D via Skype, Microsoft Live Messenger and other IMs. It apparently also makes 3D images and videos that can then be uploaded to social sites such as YouTube, although those wanting to see it will need glasses, too. Arriving in December at a price of $100.00, we figure that this is a bit overpriced and overcomplicated.

Circuit CityCircuit City is undergoing the same economic crunch most of us are. They are now thinking about closing at least 150 of their 712 stores. Thousands of jobs will be lost in an effort of the company to hold off Chapter 11 bankruptcy. The Wall St. Journal reports that it is working with an investment bank to help them out before the upcoming holiday season. We expect this will not be the last retailer, electronics or otherwise, to feel the pinch in the weeks to come.
