When you register it on seeframe you receive a dedicated e-mail addy so that you can manage your images, e-mail photos, and post messages on your frame. You can customize it to your taste as long as there is an RSS feed and has Flash or MPEG-4. You can also track and download episodes automatically and manage your videos for watching at your leisure whether you are on or off line. Fortunately, everything you acquire on the Air-based software is free and/or ad supported. Download the AMP from their site and enjoy!

What a fun app! The Tiny USB Office, which recently replaced Floppy Office, can allow you to carry your workload with you. With one click it has database creation, data encryption, file sharing, transfer and compression, and e-mail capability. It also has spreadsheet, PDF, and flowchart creation as well as text editing, word processing, and password recovery. All this in less than 2.5 megabytes. Not a bad deal for free, although donations are gladly accepted.

Review: MSN i-Buddy

Posted by Sheila Franklin Categories: Accessories, USB, Internet, Microsoft, Product Reviews, Videos,
The MSN i-Buddy is an emotional wreck. Connect him to your USB port, then get in touch with someone on MSN Messenger. When that person comes online, your mini-bud goes to work and lets you know. Every time your friend sends you an emoticon, he responds by colors, flapping wings, body movement, and a thumping “heart.” Get two and you have a veritable emoticon party.
We had a lot of fun playing with the gadget and our cat seemed to think he was there just for her. Note that the most response we got was when we were sent an angry emoticon. We thought the thing would fall off our desktop! You can find the i-Buddy at Firebox for $24.95. While they are temporarily out, you can pre-order to receive one from the next batch.
(Thanks, Jen and Kent, and Avril!)

Want to find out how much you know about what you eat? Take the Spoon Candy quiz, a 20 question test about breakfast trivia. We won’t tell you just how difficult this one is or how badly we did. What we will tell you is that if you sucked at this trivia test, you can take another on Mental Floss’ Daily Lunchtime Quiz. Choose between Girlie Middle Names for Men, Discontinued Ben & Jerry’s Flavors or Bands found on MySpace, Quarter Backs, and more. The site lists how many times the quiz was taken and the average score.

If you are a budding entrepreneur but find that CafePress is too large to cope with, consider Zlio. The site launched originally in France in 2006, but arrived in the States this past January. You simply create a shop (or 50 of them,) and name it, choose a template, and feature products that you think would sell, such as electronics, clothing, toys, or this one that features its own category. It even caught the attention of Reuters.
By now there are over 200,000 online shops, but if you get creative, you can make a few bucks from commissions. You don’t have to buy your own products first or obtain a license, you only need to select what you want from more than 120 merchants featuring over 3 million products. Zlio’s founder and CEO Jeremie Berrebi says it best, “It’s the Tupperware party concept gone online.”

Virgle Fool’s Day

Posted by Sheila Franklin Categories: Editorial, Google, Internet, Science, Transportation,
When we saw Virgin founder Richard Branson on Craig Ferguson’s show last night announcing his new project “Virgle” we knew it had to be an April Fool’s Day Joke. Even Craig didn’t believe it. Richard has supposedly teamed up with Google creators Larry Page and Sergey Brin to offer the first trip to Mars, one way, we might add, beginning in the next twenty years. While this proves that those who have money can do almost anything they want, you can check out the “official” site, take a test, send them a video and sign up to be a Virgle Pioneer, especially if you believe you can hang on for another hundred years.

PayItGreen has produced a study that suggests that if you go paperless and use the Internet for your bills, you would save 6.6 pounds of paper each year, 0.08 trees, and reduce greenhouse gases by 171 lbs. They figure that the average household has about 19 monthly bills and/or statements from utilities, credit cards, and banks. After checking out the site and realizing that Americans alone make 9 billion payments in paper, we figure that takes the concept of saving a tree to a whole ‘nother level. It appears it would be more like saving 9 million of them to go electronic.

Once again, we are touched by what the Internet can do. If you never made it to Washington D.C. to see the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, there is now a free interactive version that debuted this week. Assembled from 6,301 images, Footnote and the National Archives and Records Administration have teamed to create the virtual piece that holds over 58,000 American casualties. You can search it by name, hometown, enlistment type, or service. You can then trace links to the vet’s service record, add photos, and post comments. Be patient, as the site says that loading will be slow due to high traffic.
