Adam LambertAt some point, all contestants are expected to return to the show that made them famous—and Adam Lambert is no exception.

Late last week, Season 8’s runner-up confirmed he will be appearing on the show sometime this season. His announcement came a day after both Allison Iraheta and Kris Allen performed during the first results show.

“Yes, I have been booked on Idol! Can’t reveal the date yet but it’s a ways off… So excited. Kris and Allison were awesome last night,” Adam wrote on Twitter.

Until then, Lambert also has a gig during Jay Leno’s first week back as Tonight Show host. You can see him on NBC this Tuesday, March 2.

As hard you might find it to believe, wasn’t always brushing her teeth with a bottle of Jack. At one point in her life, she was just your average teenager who liked to sing Radiohead at her middle school talent shows. (Granted, she could have still been drinking whiskey at the time.)

Vampire Weekend's Rostam Batmanglij‘s Rostam Batmanglij said he hopes “I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend” will be a huge hit with the gay community one day.

“With that song I was having fun, but at the same time it was honest - those lyrics are meaningful to me, they come from my heart,” the keyboardist, who publicly revealed his sexuality, said about the track he wrote last year for his side project, Discovery. “I was disappointed when it didn’t become a gay anthem, but, you know, it’s not too late.”

Speaking about his main band’s new record, Contra, the 26-year-old talked about how the group worked to develop a postmodern feel for some of the tracks.

“We wanted something very different from the first record,” Rostam said about Vampire’s CD to Out magazine. “You hear ‘80s harmonies on Contra, and for me that was the challenge: to make it not just sound like the ‘80s but feel like the ‘80s too. Because of the way it’s presented, with the sampler and choir, the song ‘I Think Ur a Contra’ sounds new but also nostalgic.”

Vampire Weekend is scheduled to make their second appearance on on March 6.

In “Nothing to Lose,” Bret Michaels partners with possibly (I’d hope) his youngest girl to date to sing about another woman getting undressed.

We already knew that Miley Cyrus would be covering Poison’s “Every Rose Has Its Thorn,” but we had no idea that she would be dueting with Michaels as well.

If this partnership continues, maybe Miley could share some of her pole dancing tips with the ladies of Rock of Love?

If you find yourself emotional after watching this video, it won’t be because John Mayer’s delivering an apology.

Over the weekend, the singer - who’s been uncharacteristically quiet since his Playboy magazine scandal - granted a wish for one of his audience members. During Sunday’s concert in Philadelphia, Mayer brought an 11-year-old holding a sign that read: “Can I play ‘Belief’ with you?”

Austin Christy, who has been playing the guitar for two years now, told a local paper that he had been secretly practicing that song to surprise his mom one day. It’s her favorite. “I believed in him that he would pull me up on stage and he believed in me that I would do a good job,” Christy said about being chosen.
