Lana Del ReyLana Del Rey's new album is "so dark it's almost unlistenable."

The "Born to Die" singer has completed work on her second record, Ultra and warned fans it will not be particularly cheerful. According to MTV, she told fans in an online chat, "The record is finished and it's beautiful. And don't worry you will love Ultra - it's so wrong and exquisite. It is absolutely gorgeous - darker then the first - so dark it's almost unlistenable and wrong. But I love it. X."

Her second album may be moody, but the singer's personal life is certainly not, as it was recently revealed she has secretly been engaged to musician Barrie-James O'Neill since last summer. The "Video Games" star and Barrie - previously singer in the folk-rock band Kassidy - first got together in 2011.

Ultraviolence is set to be released this year.

Pharrell WilliamsPerhaps Pharrell shouldn't break out the champagne glasses for his Grammy wins just yet.

The 40-year-old producer/singer/Arby's hat lover has been accused of stealing the rift from the 2004 Franz Ferdinand song "Take Me Out" for the Paloma Faith track he produced, titled "Can't Rely on You."

"Hey @Pharrell - I love your tunes. If you want to borrow a riff, just ask... [sic]," Alex Kapranos - Franz Ferdinand frontman - wrote on Twitter yesterday.

Although Kapranos seems to have taken the plagiarizing in good humor (he later pointed out another similarity between a popular contemporary tune and one from 1986: "THAT's what it is! Royals by Lorde sounds like You're The Voice by John Farnham. A wee bit."), Pharrell has yet to respond. Kapranos hasn't stated whether he'll pursue legal action against him.

BeyonceBeyonce has sacked her manager and become her own boss.

The "Drunk In Love" hitmaker and Jay Z are now in total control of her career after ditching Live Nation executive Faisal Durrani, although her husband doesn't hold an official professional position.

"Jay has been heavily involved in Beyonce's career for years, and was instrumental in organizing the Mrs. Carter Show World Tour. But he isn't officially regarded as her manager - she really is independent," a source said.

The change in focus is to make sure her career is handled with her family in mind, and with the couple reportedly keen to give their two-year-old daughter Blue Ivy a sibling in the future. "Now the couple have Blue, she wants to make sure her family come first at all times, especially as there's talk of them adding to the brood. The best way to do that is to make sure all managerial decisions are made by her and her husband - together," the insider added.

Charli XCXCharli XCX wants to write a song for Hilary Duff.

The 21-year-old singer/songwriter, who is behind Icona Pop's hit "I Love It," is eager to be involved in Hilary's first album in five years, after she submitted a song for Britney Spears' latest record.

"I want to write a song for someone like Hilary Duff, she's making a comeback and I want to be involved, it would be awesome. The Britney song didn't get used but there might be something with Icona Pop's next record and there's a lot of cool things in the pipeline," Charli said.

Meanwhile, the "Stay Away" singer is also focused on recording her own album, the follow-up to last year's True Romance, which she promises will be "aggressive." She told BANG Showbiz, "I've been working on my second record for four months, mainly in Stockholm. It's very much punk inspired, it's way less electronic but it's not going to be a massive departure for people who liked my first record. It's still a pop album but it's aggressive. I've been listening to The Hives a lot. I've written about 20 songs for it, I feel like I'm eight songs in [recording] but that could all change, I could decide I hate them. I want to have it done by February."

Wiz Khalifa and Amber RoseWiz Khalifa fell asleep during Taylor Swift's performance at the Grammy Awards.

The 26-year-old rapper thought the blonde beauty's set at the 56th annual ceremony on Sunday in Los Angeles was so boring he couldn't keep his eyes open. When questioned by Joan Rivers on The Fashion Police, she asked, "I loved that you had the good watch on [at the Grammy's], which is the detail. How many times did you check that watch during Taylor Swift's endless ballad?"

"I love Taylor, but I'm not even gonna lie. I fell asleep. Just a little bit... then I woke back up," he responded.

The 26-year-old star was on the E! show with his wife, model Amber Rose, who interjected, "We love Taylor."

Taylor took to the stage to perform the weepy piano ballad "All Too Well" from her hit album Red at the Staples Center. The 24-year-old star is rumored to have written the song about her ex-boyfriend, actor Jake Gyllenhaal. The pop beauty stunned the crowd with some fierce head-banging during the heartfelt performance.

RihannaRihanna was "so shocked" to win a Grammy award last week.

The 25-year-old singer wasn't at the ceremony when she won the prize for the Best Urban Contemporary Album for her 2012 release Unapologetic, but she admits she was stunned when she found out: "I was so shocked. Really, I was at home and one of my friends hit me and said, 'You've just won a Grammy,' and I was like, 'What?' and when I went on the internet I just saw Unapologetic. It was quite an emotional moment surprisingly. But I was in shock, I'm excited, it was a good feeling to still be that excited at this point in my career."

The "Stay" hitmaker was later spotted at The Young Money Cash Money Records party at Greystone Manor with her rumored boyfriend Drake. However, there may have been some awkward moments in between her partying as her rival Karrueche Tran was also in attendance.

Both Rihanna and the aspiring model have had on/off relationships with Chris Brown - who was convicted of assaulting the "We Found Love" singer in 2009 - and have previously had a war of words on Twitter.
