Taylor Momsen

“I’m not looking to be Miley f**king Cyrus. I don’t care about the fame. I do it because I love music. I like making records and if people like them, then we’ll go along for the ride. I’m not dissing Miley personally. However, I do think the Disney bubblegum sh*t that the world is living right now is pathetic. I thought we passed that repression. I don’t know Miley, but musically we’re different. To compare us because of our age is silly. People will be surprised by the record. I mean, it’s a rock record. I get that there is this blonde thing from Gossip Girl and they’re expecting pop sh*t, but it’s a rock band and its heavy. Our record is a life record. It confronts everything head on. It’s death, love, drugs, sex, religion, politics.”

-Gossip Girl‘s explaining to FHM UK how her musical career differs from Miley’s.

An estimated 20,000 people - a record-sized crowd for the Today show - watched sing live from New York’s Rockefeller Center morning.

Although the patient “Little Monsters” - some waiting as long as 33 hours - had to endure some rain, Gaga’s performance made their efforts worthwhile. The 24-year-old’s set included a mashup of “Someone to Watch Over Me/Bad Romance,” “You and I” (a new tune she recently performed for Elton John), “Alejandro” and “Teeth.”

You can watch all four numbers after the jump.

American Idol logoThe tour isn’t as popular as producers might have hoped.

The news is not surprising, since ratings for the 500-pound reality gorilla have been slipping and the show lost its most popular cast member at the end of the season. Seven cities (Buffalo, Cleveland, Kansas City,  Omaha, Portland, Toronto and Winnipeg) have been stricken from the tour entirely, while another eight shows have been rescheduled in an effort to gain more ticket sales.

“Fallin’” isn’t just something Alicia Keys sings about. During a performance Saturday night, the 29-year-old worried a crowd in New Orleans when she stumbled backward on stage.

Although falls during concerts seem to be commonplace these days, this incident was slightly different. Alicia is currently expecting her first child with fiance Swizz Beatz.

Fortunately, Keys - who managed to keep on performing without missing a beat - and her unborn child are both reportedly fine.

Katy Perry's California Gurls

“I was thinking to myself how perfect it would be to have a California anthem. I can’t let the Beach Boys down. I can’t let Tupac down. I had the idea to put Snoop on - I thought he would be the cherry on top, and it would make me look cooler.”

If you don’t regularly watch Oprah Winfrey or Ellen DeGeneres, there’s a very good chance you don’t know who Charice is. But if you’re a fan of Glee, you soon will.

Next fall, the YouTube sensation from the Philippines will join the hit FOX show in a recurring role. It’s been reported the 18-year-old will play a talented foreign exchange student who brings out the jealousy in Rachel Berry (Lea Michele).

After hearing Charice cover Shania Twain’s “Still the One,” I wouldn’t be surprised to see other Glee characters green with envy as well. I only wish Twain could have heard a performance like this one when she mentored American Idol.

Vince Neil mug shotMusician Vince Neil is finally home sweet home after spending some time overnight in a Nevada jail.

According to police, the singer was arrested at approximately 11:15 Sunday evening for suspicion of DUI. A spokesperson for the Las Vegas Police Department said Vince’s black Lamborghini was pulled over following some sort of accident.

The 49-year-old, who lives in the Las Vegas area, was later let go on $2000 bail. He is expected to appear in court on September 29.

Although it’s not believed there were any injuries related to last night’s detainment, Vince does have a history of drunken driving. Back in 1984, passenger Hanoi Rocks drummer Nicholas “Razzle” Dingley was killed after Neil struck another vehicle head-on.

Vince, who had a BAC of .17 at the time of the crash, later served less than a month in jail and performed 200 hours of community service. He also paid $2.5 million in restitution to the victims and their families.
