50 Cent50 Cent's new album will see him return to hip-hop's roots. The "In Da Club" rapper is currently finishing recording of his fifth album, and while he doesn't think it will be as popular as his debut Get Rich or Die Tryin, or its follow-up The Massacre, he says fans will respect the classic musical direction he is heading in.

"My next album is gonna shake things up a bit. It has the elements that were in hip-hop that I fell in love with in the beginning (sic). I hate to speak on my music 'cause it speaks for itself. I can't sell 12 mill like I did on GRODT Or 10 mill like the massacre, but prepare for impact #SK (sic) If you call yourself a true fan of music you understand. The first album is your introduction to the world," he wrote on Twitter.

He then listed classic hip-hop debuts by New York rappers: Nas' Illmatic, Jay-Z's Reasonable Doubt, and Notorious B.IG's Ready to Die, to compare the record to.

Courtney Love performing in Sao PauloCourtney Love stormed off stage in Brazil after a fan showed her a picture of Kurt Cobain.

The Hole singer stopped her band's set and threatened to "beat the f**k" out of the offending crowd member for holding up the picture of her husband - lead singer of Nirvana, who killed himself in 1994 - as she played at the SWU festival in Sao Paulo this weekend. Upon seeing the picture, Courtney yelled, "I don't need to see a picture of Kurt, a******, and I'm going to have you f***ing removed if you keep holding that up."

Referring to her daughter with Kurt, Frances Bean, 19, she added, "I'm not Kurt, I have to live with his s**t and his ghost and his kid every day and throwing that up is stupid and rude and I'm going to beat the f**k out of you if you do it again. You weren't f***ing married to him, I f***ing was."

Lady Gaga and Lauriann GibsonStylish pop singer Lady Gaga has split with long-time creative director Laurieann Gibson. The pair have been working together since before the "Bad Romance" singer's rise to fame, but reportedly parted ways following a number of creative differences in the last year.

Laurieann has previously admitted working on Gaga's "Judas" video, which has strong religious references, including crosses and the death of Jesus, made her feel uneasy. "At one point, there was two completely different views and after the third glass of wine, I was like, 'Listen, I don't want lightning to strike me. I believe in the Gospel and I'm not going there.'"

Tensions continued to rise between them, with differences on the set of Gaga's "You and I" video, and their creative relationship finally ended in the last few weeks.

A representative confirmed the split, but declined to give any more information.

Actor Diego Luna stars alongside Katy Perry in her latest music video, "One That Got Away." Directed by Floria Sigismondi, the video cuts back-and-forth in time as an elderly Perry reflects upon a lost love from her younger years.

Cutting back on the colorful costumes, makeup, and hair, the music video plays more like a short film, complete with Johnny Cash's "You Are My Sunshine" at the end.

What do you think of Perry's more serious pop song vid?

Katy Perry and producer Dr. LukeKaty Perry is set to stop working with producer Dr. Luke. The pop star and the studio wizard worked together on her hit album Teenage Dream - which contained several chart-topping hits, including "California Gurls," "E.T." and "Last Friday Night" - but the relationship must end after he signed a new deal with Sony Music.

The producer - real name Lukasz Gottwald - has agreed to join the company in 2012 and run his own record label under the Sony umbrella. The new venture will be called Kemosabe Records and, as part of the contract, Dr. Luke can only work with Sony artists, which rules out future collaborations with Katy because she is on EMI.

The 27-year-old singer - who is married to Russell Brand - is preparing to release the "The One That Got Away," which will be the sixth single from Teenage Dream. Dr. Luke has also worked with a number of other chart-topping artists, including Ke$ha, Britney Spears, Jessie J and most recently with Rihanna on her new album Talk That Talk.

Bruno MarsBruno Mars feels his new song "Let It Rain" fits in with the new Twilight Saga movie perfectly.

The singer recorded the track for the penultimate installment of the vampire movie, Breaking Dawn: Part 1, and says the song pays tribute to the romance between lead characters Edward Cullen and Bella Swan.

"When I saw the scenes I was already working on a dark love song. In every relationship you don't want to lose your friend. That's the hardest part. I didn't want to write it like 'I'm gonna sink my teeth into you.' It was just honest, pure emotion."

As well as being pleased with the song, Bruno was also impressed with the movie as he experienced a variety of emotions: "I watched some parts that made me laugh. I watched some parts that made me bawl into tears and just cry and cry. I thought it was shot beautifully. They did some really cool stuff. The cinematography was great. And the storyline."

Lady Gaga at the 2011 EMAsPop star Lady Gaga took home four awards from the MTV EMAs in Belfast, Northern Ireland last night. The eccentric singer, who performed while sitting on a moon sculpture, picked up gongs in four out of the six categories she was nominated for to win Best Female, Best Song and Best Video for "Born This Way," and Biggest Fan, a brand new award that celebrates artists with the most committed fanbase.

Justin Bieber, Bruno Mars and 30 Seconds to Mars each won two awards with "Baby" hitmaker Justin winning Best Male and Best Pop, Jared Leto's band picking up Best World Stage and Best Alternative gongs and Bruno taking home awards for Best Push and Best New Artist.

The surprise win of the night went to Korean boyband BigBang, who beat off competition from acts including Britney Spears to take home Best Worldwide Act while Eminem picked up the Best Hip Hop artist. Katy Perry was presented with the award for Best Live Act and Linkin Park were voted as Best Rock, while Jessie J presented a moving video tribute to the late Amy Winehouse.

Gary LightbodySnow Patrol's Gary Lightbody was lifted by Michael Stipe while suffering writer's block.

The singer and songwriter of the "Chasing Cars" group was writing "a lot of rubbish" as he struggled to come up with the words for the band's sixth album Fallen Empires, but he was given a "boost" when the REM singer praised some of his tracks.

"I'd try to write but was frantic. It's like pulling a thread of bulls**t out of your head and then you write a lot of rubbish, and then clarity ascends. But I couldn't find any clarity and then just had to stop trying. It became a very dark time for me. Even the thought of trying to write made me feel like I was about to have a panic attack. I started phoning people because I was at the end of my tether. Then Michael Stipe came to the studio to listen to some of the songs I'd already done and he loved them. He gave me such a boost of confidence. I managed to get to the heart of the matter - that this record is about home, the empire of childhood and the naivety of that falling away into adulthood and forgetting how blissful it is as a kid. Once I got to that I could write again."

Eminem and Bruno MarsBruno Mars has joked his collaboration with Eminem came about after he beat him in a rap battle. The "Grenade" hitmaker teamed up with the rapper and Royce da 5'9" - who, as a duo, go by the name Bad Meets Evil - on the track "Lighters," and claims the track came after he challenged the Detroit musician's lyrical ability.

Speaking about "Lighters," he quipped to MTV, "It was a freestyle battle. I said, 'Yo, Em, if I beat you, you're gonna have to do a song with me!' I shut him down right then and there."

Along with working with the "Lose Yourself" singer, Bruno is also excited about his next solo track, which he has recently recorded and is "extremely proud of."

"I'm definitely thinking about what's next. I've got a song that I just wrote that I'm extremely proud of and I worked really hard on, and it's gonna come out soon. But this is just the very beginning and there's a lot more to come."
