MadonnaMadonna kicked off her world tour in Israel on Thursday night.

The 53-year-old singer launched her MDNA concert series with a spectacular show at Tel Aviv's Ramat Gan Stadium, where she wished peace on the Middle East.

"I chose to start my world tour in Israel for a very specific and important reason. As you know, the Middle East and all the conflicts that have been occurring here for thousands of years - they have to stop," she told the cheering crowd.

During the concert, Madonna also took a swipe at Lady Gaga, who was accused of copying her song "Express Yourself" for her recent hit "Born This Way." At the end of a performance of "Express Yourself," which she had reworked to include a sampling of "Born This Way," and Madonna yelled, "She's not me!"

Lady GagaLady Gaga's new album will be "insane."

The "Marry the Night" hitmaker is already working on the follow-up to Born This Way - which was released in May 2011 - and her co-manager, Vincent Herbert, thinks it will defy all expectations.

"There's a lot of work to come, [I'm] very excited about it. [It's] just an insane, great record. She's on tour right now, but it's just going to be a great record. Look out for the unexpected when it comes to her. We're doing it on the road right now, so it's a little hard, but it's going to be great," Vincent said, speaking to website That Grape Juice.

Gaga is currently undertaking a two-year Born This Way Ball world tour but won't let that get in the way of her plans to make a new album, as parts of Born This Way were also recorded on the road. Her single "Marry The Night" took shape with producer Fernando Garibay whilst on her previous tour in 2009.

RihannaRihanna will give up singing when she has children.

The "Where Have You Been?" hitmaker - who is currently single - admits she would like to have kids eventually and when she does she will likely turn her back on her career.

"Not just yet, though, that'll probably be when I'm kids-deep. And have other businesses in place where I don't have to run on tour all the time. That's things for the future I think about. It's definitely in the near future," she said when asked if there will be a time she will give up singing.

However, the singer may put her music career on the back burner in the near future as she recently starred in her first movie in action caper Battleship, and she admits plans are in place for more films to take up her time:

"We're going to start shooting a couple more movies starting right after Battleship comes out. One's a comedy. There's an action film that's in the works as well. And there's an animation. Everything's in stone but I don't like to talk about it until it's happening, until filming starts. Battleship was perfect for my first role. Battleship is big, but my role in Battleship isn't big."

LabrinthLabrinth wants to collaborate with Dave Grohl and Bjork.

The "Express Yourself" hitmaker is a huge fan of both the Foo Fighters frontman and the eccentric singer and says it would be a dream to work with them: "The people I want to collaborate with most are Foo Fighters singer Dave Grohl and Bjork. Dave was the coolest guy ever when I met him. I've gotten every single girl I've ever wanted, so when I say 'I want Bjork,' I've just got to get that girl."

Labrinth - real name Timothy McKenzie - also revealed how music is his first love as he gets so much enjoyment from making new songs:

"Music is everything to me. I love creating and being a producer but I'm still developing into the sort of artist I want to be. I'm schizophrenic when I make music. One moment I want to make rock, the next it's club music. It's very hard to stick to one thing. It burns that the record industry makes me focus on just one thing because I have a very short attention span."

Florence WelchFlorence Welch says having David LaChapelle direct her new video was a dream come true.

The Florence + The Machine singer is a lifelong fan of the acclaimed artist, director and photographer and had "fantasized" from the minute she wrote "Spectrum" that he would work with her on the promotional film to accompany the track.

"It was a complete dream to work with David LaChapelle. I collected his books as a teenager, and I fantasized that he would direct the video for 'Spectrum' from the moment the song was written. I still cant believe it actually happened, and I'm completely overjoyed that he felt such a connection with the song," said Florence, who appears in the video as an Egyptian queen presiding over a troupe of ballerinas.

The admiration is mutual as David - who co-directed the video with John Byrne - hailed the track as a "modern classic" that allowed him to create a visual spectacular.

Ed SheerhanEd Sheeran has been writing songs for Taylor Swift.

The "A Team" hitmaker - who has previously penned tracks for One Direction - was asked by the country singer to work on her new album because she is a "massive fan" of his own music.

"Ed and Taylor have been in the studio in LA a lot over the past few weeks working on new material. She's into her British music and became a massive fan of Ed before asking to work with him recently. There is a mutual affection between the pair," a source said.

It has not yet been decided whether Ed's songs will be released as singles, but even just a credit on an album track will earn the 21-year-old British star around $310,000.

"It's still to be officially decided how the material will be released but just a single credit on her album will be worth big money. Taylor's country sound is massive around the world," the source added.
