BlurBlur drummer Dave Rowntree said it’s likely the band will perform again given the success of last summer’s gigs.

When asked if they would be the last shows, he said: “I hope not. We’ve never said anything like that, that would be a crazy thing to say. I’m sure we’ll play together again, why wouldn’t we.”

“It was great, the sun was shining, I was out with my mates on the road just like the old days,” Dave said about their recent performances. “I’d die a bitter man had I not been able to play in front of hundreds of thousands of people! I don’t know why, maybe that makes me weird, maybe that’s quite selfish of me but I would.”

Rowntree also told Absolute Radio that he does not listen to the band’s old music. “Why would I do that? I listen to new music. No you don’t revisit stuff like that unless you have to do you?” he said.

Robert Plant and Jimmy Page

If Jimmy Page had his way, fans could soon see a return from his genre-defining 70s band. Unfortunately, the fate of his old group rests in the hands of its former lead singer.

“You’d better ask what the future of Led Zeppelin is,” the legendary guitarist said. “Musicians can always play together but I don’t think you can go out with a band called Led Zeppelin if you haven’t got the original vocalist.”

A reunion is in doubt, however, as Robert is presently recording a new album with vocalist Alison Krauss - a follow up to their award winning debut together, Raising Sand - while the group’s other surviving member, John Paul Jones, is now a member of supergroup Them Crooked Vultures.

What I’m hoping is that this group really gets inspired by the new movement that I’m on right now, the new music that I’ve got coming out, the movement with the youth, and I’m hoping they’ll get inspired and be like, ‘Yo, let’s find Clef and let’s get this thing cracking.’ And it would be an honor to go in and make it a super album,” Jean told DJBooth.net.
