Lady Gaga Coming Back to American Idol
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Artist News, Performances, Pop,
Lady Gaga might not be appearing on the Today show until July 9, but you’ll be able to catch her on network TV long before then.
The singer recently announced via Twitter that she’ll be hitting up FOX next month. “See you on American Idol. MAY 5th, Little Monsters.”
It’s not clear at this time which track she might performing that night. It’s also not known whether singing is the only thing she’ll be doing for the program.
This will, of course, not be Gaga’s first visit to the Idol stage. She also performed “Poker Face” in April 2009.

Quote of the Day: Akon Says Aguilera Can’t Compete with Gaga
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Gossip, Pop,
“Aw man, that’s not even any competition. You are actually giving Christina too much credit. She always had her cool little look and way about how she went about things. But soon as Gaga came out everything switched up. Christina stepped out of her own shell to become something different. And the crazy thing is Christina is really talented. She has unlimited range when it comes to singing. Her voice is out of here. I just think she just needs to believe in herself more. I think sometimes she gets insecure because of all of the success Gaga has had not realizing that she was already successful before Gaga came out… Christina shouldn’t have anything to prove or anyone to compete with. I miss the old Christina Aguilera. I like the old one better than the new one. Honestly, Gaga and Christina could probably get together and do something that’s amazing. But that’s impossible if they are both trying to do the same exact thing musically.”
-Akon telling Vibe that the “Not Myself Tonight” singer was better off when she wasn’t trying to compete with Lady Gaga.

Lady Gaga Explains Passing Out During New Zealand Concert
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Artist News, Concerts / Tours, Gossip, Performances, Videos, Pop,
Although many speculated high temperatures were responsible for Lady Gaga‘s recent performance in Auckland, New Zealand, the singer has since set the record straight.
In an interview with an Australian radio station, the 23-year-old explained that simple exhaustion was what caused her to nearly collapse during that March 13 concert.
“I was so jetlagged, I got in the night before and the jetlag just really caught up with me. I passed out about three times on stage that night but I got myself to the floor,” she recalled.
