Adele's 21 has now outsold Michael Jackson's Thriller in the UK.
The "Rolling In The Deep" hitmaker's second album - which was released in January 2011 - has sold 4,274,300 copies in Britain, more than 500 more than the late singer's 1982 classic record, meaning it is now the fifth best-selling album of all time in the UK. "To add to her many landmark records, Adele's achievement in overtaking Thriller in the all-time sales list is truly remarkable. Thriller has long been recognized as one of the most iconic albums of all time - there is now no doubt that 21 can be spoken of in the same breath," said Official Charts Company's managing director Martin Talbot.

Kevin Richardson is rejoining the Backstreet Boys. The 40-year-old singer departed the group in 2006, but is now planning to get back with his bandmates Howie Dorough, AJ McLean, Nick Carter and Brian Littrell to record new music in London this summer.
Nick announced the plans on-stage over the weekend saying, "We're coming back to London in July for three weeks to record our new album. It's been a long time since we've been played on some radio stations and we want all our fans to make pickets and start a protest outside these stations to get them to play our songs."
Discussing Kevin's return, a source told the Daily Star, "Kevin missed the rest of the guys, who he counts as brothers as well as bandmates, and felt now was the right time to return."
The Backstreet Boys are currently touring with New Kids on the Block as part of supergroup NKOTBSB and Donnie Wahlberg recently revealed they were keen to go on another global run of shows in the future.

Lady Gaga is giving away a "Monster Pit key" to one fan on every night of the Born This Way Ball world tour.
The "Judas" hitmaker kicked off her tour in Seoul, South Korea, last night and revealed to fans - whom she calls Little Monsters - the first in line will get to open the Monster Pit - an enclosed area around the stage for hardcore fans.
Tweeting a picture of a skull shaped necklace, she added, "This is a necklace I'll give to the first monster in line every night at the Ball. It's a symbol of the 'key' that opens the pit every night. The real monster pit key will be signed by this fan and returned to me. There'll be 110 necklaces & signatures Mar. 2013 (sic)."
The monster pit is a general admission area of the concert, which will be populated by the most hardcore fans who are first in line to see each show. The tour takes will include 100 shows in more than 25 countries and Gaga admitted her nerves for the opening night: "Nervous for tonight. Hope I make little monsters happy and proud. This is a very special moment for Haus of Gaga. We thank you so much. Enjoy our music, fashion installations & pop performance art tonight."

Damon Albarn: Gorillaz Will Record Again

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Artist News, Gossip, Reunions, Alternative, Pop,
Gorillaz will make another record when Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett work out their differences.
The cartoon collective has been on hiatus ever since the collaborators had a huge row last year, but Damon insists it is not the end for Gorillaz and he and Jamie will eventually put the spat behind them.
"When Jamie and I have worked out our differences, I'm sure we'll make another record. We're been through too much for it to be that big of a mountain to climb. We've just fallen out like mates do sometimes. I'm not the only person to fall out with mates and then make up again. Everyone does it."
Damon has also hinted that his Britpop band Blur will record again, claiming their concert in London's Hyde Park to mark the end of the Olympic Games, won't be their last, as previously hinted: "I don't know how we'll feel when we play Hyde Park. Some days I feel one way and other days I feel the other. If you don't see something as a career but as an important part of your life, you don't know how you're going to feel about it. ''We want to put on a great performance but nothing's been said between us about the beginning or the end."

Madonna Hires Lourdes Clone for Tour

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Concerts / Tours, Gossip, Rumors, Pop,
Madonna has hired a lookalike of her daughter Lourdes to throw the paparazzi off-scent during her forthcoming MDNA world tour.
The "Hung Up" singer - who has also taken on five clones for herself - took the drastic step of getting a body double for her 15-year-old daughter following advice from Lourdes' father Carlos Leon.
"Carlos suggested hiring a Lourdes lookalike to take the pressure off the teenager," a source said.
The move has apparently worked wonders for Madonna's relationship with her first-born - who recently upset her famous mother when she was photographed smoking. "Things have been tense and difficult between Madge and Lourdes. Madge is tense and overworked in preparation for the biggest tour of her life, while Lourdes is establishing her independence and trying to make her own mark on the industry. But they have bonded over finding the perfect girl to pretend to be Lourdes. It's been a lot of fun. Lourdes thinks it's cool to have a doppelganger because it makes her feel important," the source told The Daily Star.
The tour kicks off on May 29 in Tel Aviv.

The Darkness are hoping to collaborate with Lady Gaga. The "I Believe in a Thing Called Love" hitmakers are set to support the pop superstar on her forthcoming Born This Way Ball tour and are hoping it will lead to entering the studio with the star.
"We were chosen by her. She had a shortlist of artists available and she didn't like any of them, so she chose us instead. Will we collaborate? I'm sure there's a cover we could do. It would be quite vaudevillian and spectacular," said the group's frontman Justin Hawkins.

Justin Bieber Makes ‘Beautiful’ Music with Taylor Swift

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Artist News, Collaborations, Country, Covers, Pop,
Justin Bieber and Taylor Swift have made a "beautiful" record together.
The "Baby" hitmaker has recorded a track with the "Love Story" singer, and though few details about the collaboration have been made public, Justin's girlfriend Selena Gomez has heard the song and is very impressed.
"It's beautiful. I don't know if it's going to make it on the record, but it is beautiful," she said.
Meanwhile, the 19-year-old star admitted she has no plans to return to the recording studio any time soon as she is currently focused on her acting career: "We're maybe going to do some fun remixes, but right now it's just about movies."
Selena was thrilled recently when she learned Lea Michele will perform her track "Love You Like A Love Song" on a forthcoming episode of Glee and admits the inclusion of her track came as a surprise: "I didn't even know and my label didn't even know it was happening. Cory Monteith texted me a video of someone singing it and I was like, 'Wait, that's Lea!' I asked him if they were on set and he sent me back a smiley face. So that's how we found out."
