AdeleAdele is too afraid to headline Glastonbury festival.

The "Someone Like You" singer has been hotly tipped to appear at the event in 2013, but organizer Michael Eavis says he can't convince her because she gets daunted by the number of people who attend the event, held in Somerset, Southern England.

"Adele knows that we want her anyway, but she doesn't want to do anything outside. She comes every year usually and has her own little party, but going on the pyramid stage is a bit daunting, playing in front on 80,000 people, it's a bit much," said Michael Eavis, speaking at the Ivor Novello awards.

Glastonbury is taking a year off to let its fields lie fallow, but when it returns next year, Michael said he's likely to invite Ed Sheeran - who has already performed at the festival a few times and took home Best Song Musically and Lyrically at the awards show - back.

Donna SummerDonna Summer has died at the age of 63. The "Last Dance" singer passed away this morning in Florida after a battle with cancer. According to gossip website TMZ, the Queen of Disco had attempted to keep the extent of her illness from fans and was recently trying to finish up her latest album.

Donna was a five-time Grammy Award winner and the first artist to have three consecutive double albums reach number one on the Billboard chart. She also charted four number-one singles in the United States within a thirteen-month period.

Donna, who was born LaDonna Adrian Gaines in 1948, married actor Helmuth Sommer in 1973 before giving birth to the couple's daughter Mimi later that year. Although the marriage crumbled in 1975, she kept an altered version of her ex's surname to use as her stage name. She married Brooklyn Dreams musician Bruce Sudano in 1980 and the couple went on to have two daughters, Brooklyn, born in 1981 and Amanda the following year. In 1994, the family moved from Los Angeles to Nashville where Donna took time out from showbusiness to focus on painting but had recently returned to the recording studio.

Amy Winehouse and Adele

Amy Winehouse felt "competitive" towards Adele.

The "Rehab" singer - who passed away from accidental alcohol poisoning last year - was ''freaked out'' by the worldwide acclaim "Someone Like You" hitmaker Adele received, according to their mutual friend Mark Ronson. "She was in a bad state, God knows why. I think that the Adele thing had Amy freaked out. She liked her, but Adele's success was making Amy feel upset, competitive, restless. Anyway, we lost touch briefly. And before she and I could really start the process of beginning a new album, it was too late," he said.

Lady GagaLady Gaga has been refused a permit to perform in Jakarta, Indonesia.

The "Born This Way" singer was due to perform the biggest show on the Asian leg of her Born This Way Ball in the city on June 3, but has been denied a work permit by local police after objections from Islamic groups.

Boy Rafli Amar, a spokesperson for Jakarta police said the permit had been denied after protests against the singer's sexualized image, provocative dance moves and allegations she could underline the country's moral fibre.

Promoter Big Daddy had already sold 52,000 tickets, with a further 2,000 being made available yesterday.

Indonesia is the largest Muslim country in the world with 240 million people, and groups including Muslim Defenders Team and Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) said they would not tolerate Gaga appearing in the country. The latter threatened to ask its 30,000 supporters to forcibly prevent Gaga stepping off the plane.

The "All the Small Things" band's drummer had have an urgent medical procedure on his tonsils, forcing them to cancel all further shows in their current US tour, which runs until the end of the month.

"The band apologizes for any inconvenience as a result of these cancellations and thanks their fans for their ongoing support," a statement on the band's website reads. The note added Travis' "recovery period is expected to extend beyond the scheduled tour dates."

It is not yet known if the band's later dates in the UK and Europe, starting in June, will be affected by Travis' condition. The group - which also includes Mark Hoppus and Tom DeLonge - have already had to reschedule their tour once, after it was originally supposed to start in July last year, but dates were pushed back in order to allow the group to finish sixth album Neighborhoods.

Tom Jones Tom Jones wanted to work with Whitney Houston.

The "What's New P***y Cat" singer - who has worked with the likes of Elvis Presley and the Stereophonics in the past - thinks Amy Winehouse's death at 27 last July was particularly tragic as she hadn't left a substantial body of work, unlike the "I Will Always Love You" hitmaker, who passed away in February aged 48.

"Poor Amy Winehouse. At least someone like Whitney Houston left a legacy of great stuff but Amy, she was only just getting into gear. I would love to have worked with Whitney, but I never got to," he said.

Tom is disparaging about many modern day singers, believing they are too focused on "vocal acrobatics."

"Don't get me wrong, I think there are some great voices around. But record companies hear something and they want more of it. So now if you don't put a lot of runs in, a lot of vocal acrobatics, they think you're not being modern enough. Jackie Wilson did it years ago, but when he did it, it fitted to what it was. Nowadays, because they feel it is in fashion, they do it anyway."

Chris Brown and The Wanted

The Wanted is in talks to tour with Chris Brown this summer. The group revealed that they have spoken to the singer about joining him for the North American leg of his tour in July. Siva Kaneswaran, Tom Parker, Max George, Jay McGuiness and Nathan Sykes hope the exposure will introduce them to the urban market.

"Scooter - our manager - told us the other week that they'd spoke. We met Chris Brown - he came in and saw us at the studio when we were rehearsing - and he was actually really sound. He said he liked our music and stuff. He'd spoke to Scooter since then and said he'd love to do a song with us so who knows? If it's the right song then we'll do it," Max told radio station Capital FM.

"There's talk about us, he's got his American tour coming up in July, maybe we'll go on that for a few shows which will be cool. Hitting that urban market - The Wanted go urban," Tom added.

Ke$ha and Justin Bieber at the GrammysKesha wants to work with Justin Bieber. The "Blow" hitmaker admires the young pop superstar and thinks a duet between them would be great. Kesha has a very eclectic music taste and can imagine herself just as easily recording with legendary Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards.

"The range of artists I want to work with is so vast, it's bizarre. I would love to have Keith Richards on the record. I would sure as hell like to do a collaboration with Bieber and at the same time do a song with the Flaming Lips. If someone is a real artist, you can't confine them to a particular genre. It's my mission to make it all make sense somehow."

The 25-year-old singer is very proud of the success she has achieved so far in her career, but although she has topped charts all over the globe she still feels like the "dirty little sister" of the biggest pop stars: "I do feel like there are the pop stars of the world and then I'm like their dirty little sister, running around with s**t on my face in combat boots because I can't walk in heels."
