Justin TimberlakeJustin Timberlake is working on a new album. The singer-turned-actor has been working with producers Timbaland and Jim Beanz on a set of "crazy" tracks for his third solo album.

"When I get back to the States I'm going to be helping out on Shock Value 3 with Timbaland and the Justin Timberlake project. It's still in the early stages, but they have a lot of tracks. While I've been over here in the UK they've been working, so by the time I get back they'll have a whole load of ideas and I'm going to have to catch up!" Jim said.

The record will be Justin's first since 2006's FutureSex/LoveSounds, which yielded hits including "SexyBack" and "What Goes Around... Comes Around." Jim said Justin is not trying to top his previous work, but rather compete with today's pop music. "There are certain artists who can get inside with great charisma and energy and make great music every time. So it's not really about topping the last record, it's more about topping music that comes on the radio. Everything is so similar that it's about topping that and doing something different, and that's what they are going for," Jim added.

Drake and Chris BrownDrake has slammed Chris Brown in his new single "Enough Said."

The rapper's latest track features previously unheard vocals by late R&B singer Aaliyah and has angered fans who have accused him of using the song as a vehicle to diss his love rival Chris.

"Running through the city with n****s I'd give a kidney/ Selling under 150 you n****s got to be kidding/ Is this even still a discussion?/ Don't you ever wake up disgusted?" Drake raps. The line has been perceived as a dig at Chris' mediocre album sales after his latest offering Fortune sold 135,000 copies in its first week while Drake's Take Care shifted 600,000.

Fans took to Twitter in a rage after hearing the song, which has been released to honor the anniversary of Aaliyah's tragic death in a plane crash. "I love Drake but not sure reworking Aaliyah for 10 year anniversary and 'dissing' Chris Brown in it is really in the right spirit!" @Cazba21 posted. @In_Boss_U_Trust asked, "Is the Drake song with Aaliyah in it really a diss to Chris Brown cuz if so, that's disrespectful."

Kanye WestKanye West debuted new songs during a night out last Friday.

The rapper was partying at New York's Dream Downtown with Leonardo DiCaprio, Erin Heatherton and The Hangover director Todd Phillips and stunned fellow revellers when he pulled out a laptop and got DJ Reach to play the tracks he had on it.

"He was dressed in black pants and a leather T-shirt. He danced and lip-synced [to his songs]. The room looked stunned. People were standing around with jaws literally dropped," one onlooker told The New York Post.

It was recently claimed that Kanye wants to make an album composed of animal noises. The 35-year-old rapper experimented with them on his Watch The Throne album with Jay-Z and wants to take the sounds further by developing them into an entire record. "Kanye's telling friends this is his next ingenious plan. He's become so obsessed with roars, barks and jungle noises that he's experimenting with putting them on a recording," a source said.

Justin BieberJustin Bieber's Believe tour will be inspired by Michael Jackson.

The 18-year-old singer is preparing for his latest concert series and his manager Scooter Braun revealed Justin has been studying the late King of Pop's moves. "He has been watching a tremendous amount of Michael Jackson concerts from the '80s and '90s. And he has been talking to me about how Michael incorporated magic and pyro and reveals and he wants to bring in that. [But] still do that acoustic thing, but he wants to take it to a whole new level," Scooter told MTV News.

Scooter also explained he is excited about the new tour because Justin has matured as a performer. "It's just really exciting. Nothing makes him happier than being onstage. So it's gonna be fun to get back onto the road. I think he was an amazing performer before, but his level of dance and musicianship and his range [has grown]. He's a veteran now. I think he wants to take it to a completely new level," he explained.

EminemEminem almost quit rap after his first ever public performance. The "Stan" hitmaker started out battle rapping in Detroit in the early 90s, but was so embarrassed when he was booed he almost quit entirely.

"The first time I rapped in front of actual people that mattered, in a club, I got booed. And it was very traumatic for me. I just remember it being so f***ing traumatic, and I think I went home and I was like, man, I quit. And you know a week later, a day later, an hour later I got the urge, and I was like, I gotta get up, I gotta do it again."

Eminem has since become one of the most successful rappers of all time, and says he owes his life to the rap game: "I certainly feel like if it wasn't for rap, obviously, I wouldn't be here, but it gave me my voice, it gave me my outlook, it gave me strength, you know what I came back from, overdose and a whole load of s**t - without rap I wouldn't be able to do a f***ing thing."

Leona LewisLeona Lewis is planning to rival Nicki Minaj with her rap skills on her new album.

The "Collide" singer - famed for her ballads - is putting the finishing touches to third record, Glassheart, and promised fans they will hear a different side to her, and she's even confident enough to take on New York-based Nicki.

"On my new album I will be rapping. I've discovered my voice for rapping. I could probably go up against Nicki Minaj now. I'm actually that good, so I'm coming for you Nicki! London style MCing," she said in a livestream Q&A.

It has also previously been claimed Leona - who won the UK version of The X Factor in 2006 and is signed to Simon Cowell's Syco label - will go in a dubstep direction on Glassheart. "The Syco team have asked songwriters to hand them dubstep and dance tracks with traditional lyrics for her. And they've specifically stated no ballads. It's a big change for her," a source said.

Black Eyed PeasBlack Eyed Peas song "My Humps" has been named as having the worst lyrics in dance music.

The group's 2005 single received more than twenty per cent of votes cast in a poll of clubbers by GlobalGathering festival. The song contains the repetitive line, "My hump, my hump, my hump, my hump, my hump, My hump, my hump, my hump, my lovely little lumps." The song reached number three in the UK singles chart when it was released but it seems the public don't look back on it fondly.

In second place clubbers voted "Nassaja" by German outfit Scooter, with its nonsensical line, "It's not a bird, it's not a plane. It must be Dave who's on the train."

The top three was completed by the 90's dance-pop group Vengaboys with their song "Up and Down," which simply repeats the words "up" and "down" over and over again.

Rihanna and Chris BrownRihanna wanted to duet with Chris Brown because he is "dirty" and shocking.

The 24-year-old singer chose her ex-boyfriend and rapper - who was convicted of assaulting her three years ago - to collaborate with on her hit single "Birthday Cake" because she thought it would be "cute" to team up with a man.

"I thought it would be cute to do it with a guy. I wondered, who can be dirty, someone who people will really believe?" she said.

Rihanna and Chris have made peace since 2009's altercation, and while she understands people have "every right to be concerned" about the pair working together, the brunette beauty insists her fans are keen for them to collaborate again. "Look, I understand that people had every right to be concerned about it. But I didn't see it that way because I'm in a different place. Music is music and my fans have been asking me to record with him. I just felt like it was time. It was time."
