Britney SpearsBritney Spears believes her Las Vegas residency is "ideal" as she won't have to travel too much.

The "Work Bitch" hitmaker is set to launch Britney: Piece of Me at Planet Hollywood next month, and she is looking forward to the short commute between her home in Los Angeles and Sin City after three "grueling" years of touring:

"I've done two tours in two years in the past three years and it's so grueling, being on the road and staying in a different bed every night. The schedule is insane. I thought it would be ideal to have one place I could go to and I could just travel back and forth to my home after the show. It's going to be different but I'm excited."

The 31-year-old star - who has sons Sean Preston, eight, and Jayden James, seven, with ex-husband Kevin Federline - also opened up about writing her new album, Britney Jean, which she says was like "therapy." Britney admits to feeling "reclusive" at times and having "harder" days in her life, but writing her eighth studio album sparked her creativity.

Chris MartinChris Martin disguised himself as a skeleton to DJ at an Arcade Fire show.

Concert-goers were completely unaware the Coldplay frontman was in the fancy dress outfit spinning records at the band's show at London's Roundhouse earlier this month.

Speaking about the gig - in which fans were asked to attend in either formal wear or fancy dress - frontman Win Butler told BBC Radio 2, "[Chris] was out at the DJ booth with me the other night wearing a skull mask. It was pretty cool. He was the hype man, he's an amazing hype man." When quizzed as to whether the audience recognized Chris, the "After-Life" singer replied ,"I don't think so."

Win also hinted Arcade Fire will be appearing at UK festivals next summer, but remained tight lipped as to which events they would perform at, teasing "get your wellies ready" and saying he had recently bought his six-month-old son his first pair of wellington boots in preparation for the festival season.

MadonnaMadonna has topped Forbes' list of highest-paid musicians.

The 55-year-old singer is still the queen of pop according to the magazine, earning $125 million from June 2012 to May 2013 thanks to her sell-out MDMA Tour, miles ahead of her nearest rival Lady Gaga, who raked in $80 million. Rockers Bon Jovi and country singer Toby Keith were next, with Coldplay coming in fifth place.

Despite lackluster sales of her latest album, Madonna made her fortune from fans paying $100 a ticket to see her tour - which grossed $305 million - as well as from merchandise sales, a clothing line, fragrance and investments in companies like Vita Coco. This comes as little surprise, since Madonna had already been crowned the world's highest-earning celebrity by Forbes in August, with filmmaker Steven Spielberg, author E.L. James, radio personality Howard Stern and X Factor boss Simon Cowell rounding out the top five.

However, the magazine estimates Lady Gaga could easily top the highest-paid musicians list next year because her current earnings were affected by her hip injury, which forced her to cut her Born This Way Ball tour short. Had she completed the tour, she could potentially have made $200 million.

Lily AllenLily Allen will perform at Glastonbury 2014.

The "Hard Out Here" singer - on the comeback trail after initially quitting music in 2011 - is the first high profile artist to confirm she has been booked for the iconic British festival, which will take place in June next year.

"I'm playing Glastonbury. It's official. I got the news yesterday. You can catch me, I'm doing an acoustic session at the Stone Circle on Sunday night," she said, speaking on BBC Radio 1 this morning.

Lily is a regular visitor to Glastonbury festival and usually attends even if she is not performing, although it is not the only festival she will be playing next summer. "I'll be doing 16 weeks of festivals over the summer and then tour," she added.

The 28-year-old star is about to release her third album, but admits it was harder to make than her first two, because she now has daughters Ethel, who turns two next week, and Marnie, ten months, with husband Sam Cooper: "At first it was really, really difficult because I was pregnant when I was making it [her new album], with my second baby. For a long time I found it really difficult and it wasn't until I stopped breastfeeding that I started to connect with myself again, so it was hard, much harder than it has been in the past."

Bruno Mars, Ellie Goulding and Ed Sheeran

For inspiration, Ellie Goulding looks to her pal Bruno Mars.

The "Starry Eyed" hitmaker has toured the US supporting the singer and says his live show has made her "up her game" and improve her own stage set to be more suitable for a bigger audience: "Bruno's show is phenomenal. It's the most incredible live show I've seen - that and Bjork, and it made me want to up my game. I read an article the other day that said I'd become Americanized, that I'd come from this shy English rose girl playing a guitar to being this big pop star... But you do adapt a bit to those bigger crowds and playing arenas. You can't just go out there and just say, 'Hiii.' You really do have to go out there and command."

Lady GagaLady Gaga feels "empty" and "depressed" after finishing her album ARTPOP.

The "Applause" hitmaker has hit a low point since releasing her third studio album as she is no longer being creative. "I'm depressed after making this album. I feel empty and sad. I'm no longer the creator, I'm the performer. This is the reverse of Warhol, this is the reverse of the soup can, this is art imprinted onto pop culture," she said at a concert.

This comes only weeks after Gaga claimed she doesn't "feel alive" when she is not on stage as her stage persona gives her the chance to express her thoughts. "When I'm not on the stage, I don't feel alive. But when I hit the stage, it's like everything that I'm thinking and feeling, where I belong - that's where it is," she previously said.

But the 27-year-old eccentric star doesn't think she is different from anyone else, because most people have creative energy they want to release. "I don't think I am different from anybody else. I think everyone with their location and their job and what they do, their passion, feel the same way I do. It's sort of like we are endlessly obsessing about what we are creating and then the explosion is the moment where we get to share," she explained.

Mick JaggerMick Jagger wants to tour with the Rolling Stones again next year.

The 70-year-old singer says the group's gigs at Glastonbury in June and London's Hyde Park in July were "perfect" and a "great ending" to their tour of Europe and North America, marking the band's 50th anniversary, and he was so "blown away" by the performances he wants to hit the road again.

"This summer was really good for us. I feel really happy and I had a really fantastic time in the last year. It was a great ending at Glastonbury and Hyde Park. We were blown away. I'd love to do it again," he said.

Mick's bandmate Keith Richards - who completes the group alongside Ronnie Wood and Charlie Watts - recently said the "Brown Sugar" hitmakers were keen to do a 60th anniversary tour as well: "I've been hooked on everything once or twice in my life. The one thing I can't kick is playing with the Rolling Stones. All these zeros that keep zooming by ... 30, 40, 50 years. I don't really see any reason why there shouldn't be a 60th. Either that or we croak [die] on the job."

Ke$haKesha has been banned from performing in Malaysia.

The "Tik Tok" hitmaker was forced to cancel her concert Kuala Lumpur stadium tonight, after authorities threatened to imprison her because they decided her gig would harm cultural and religious sensitivities in the Muslim-majority country.

The 26-year-old singer admitted she was extremely disappointed by the decision. She tweeted, "I love my Malaysian animals so so much. xx I tried animals." She later added, "to be clear. I did NOT cancel. I was not allowed to play. and then I was going to play anyways and was threatened with imprisonment. [sic]"

The gig's organizer Livescape said it received a letter about the ban on Friday night, according to CTV News.

Metallica

Metallica is set to perform in Antarctica. The "Enter Sandman" rockers will take to the stage on the Earth's southernmost continent - which is mostly covered in ice at least 1.6km thick - at some time between December 2 and December 15 as part of a special Coca-Cola event.

Although the group haven't confirmed their participation in the event - which was announced on the drinks firm's Colombian website - drummer Lars Ulrich has previously hinted at a surprise planned for the end of the year: "There's a very interesting thing coming our way in December ... There's another frontier heading in Metallica's direction in December. Which, if anybody [in our management team] even knew that I just said what I just said, they would hunt me down and silence me. But there is another frontier coming in December, which we're very excited about."
