-Cancellations and low ticket sales for various acts have impacted Live Nation’s bottom line. The concert promoter’s adjusted operating income is predicted to be down at least $40 million from last year.
-According to Amy Winehouse, her next album will be out in “six months at the most.” The singer says the sound will be “very much the same” as her last release “where there’s a lot of jukebox stuff and songs that are ... just jukebox, really.”
-Vampire Weekend is the subject of a bloody lawsuit. The woman pictured on the cover of Contra claims her picture was illegally used after someone forged a signature on the release form.

VIDEO: Pink Falls From Harness During Act

Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Artist News, Concerts / Tours, Videos, Pop,
UPDATE: You can see video of Pink falling off the stage after the jump.
Even if you haven’t attended one of Pink‘s concerts, chances are you’ve already seen a clip of her performing some type of circus act…while singing at the same time.
Although she’s pulled off these stunts numerous times - like at the MTV Video Music Awards and at the Grammys - the risk for an accident is always still there. Unfortunately, that proved to be the case during her concert in Nurnberg, Germany tonight.
In the video above, you can see Pink explaining after the accident why the show has to close early.

U2 Announces New Dates, Records Message

Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Artist News, Concerts / Tours, Videos, Rock,
I hope you’re still holding on to those unused U2 concert tickets.
Although Bono underwent emergency back surgery in May, the lead singer has been “rebuilt by German engineering” and is - as seen in the video - back on the road to recovery. This means the band will soon be back on the road and performing in stadiums around the world.
The group will first wrap up the European leg of their summer tour (those dates were unaffected) beginning with the August 6th stop in Turin, Italy. The previously scheduled stops in North America will then kick off in May 2011.
For more information on the new dates, you check out information posted on the band’s website here.

VIDEO: Tour Continues Despite Jon Bon Jovi Injury

Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Artist News, Concerts / Tours, Gossip, Videos, Rock,
It may take a little bad medicine, but an injured Jon Bon Jovi plans to keep entertaining fans across the country.
Friday night in New Jersey, the 48-year-old somehow managed to tear a calf muscle - ouch! - toward the end of a concert in New Meadowlands Stadium. Despite the obvious pain (he can be seen limping on the stage), the professional vowed to stay on stage until the end.

The American Idol 9 tour isn’t as popular as producers might have hoped.
The news is not surprising, since ratings for the 500-pound reality gorilla have been slipping and the show lost its most popular cast member at the end of the season. Seven cities (Buffalo, Cleveland, Kansas City, Omaha, Portland, Toronto and Winnipeg) have been stricken from the tour entirely, while another eight shows have been rescheduled in an effort to gain more ticket sales.
American Idol crowned its ninth winner in May (Lee DeWyze), the first season in which Paula Abdul was absent from the show.

Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Concerts / Tours, Gossip, Hip-Hop & Rap,

UPDATE: “Don’t belive gossip about fergie leaving the group (we are never breaking up) its all lies!!!” will.i.am recently wrote on Twitter.
If a new report is true, The Black Eyed Peas could soon be losing some lady lumps.
According to RadarOnline.com, the Peas’ sole female singer - Fergie - is considering leaving the chart-topping act. This decision could affect a 2011 tour currently being planned.
So why is the 35-year-old thinking about making this move? Does she want to focus on her successful solo career? Is she looking to do more films like Nine?

American Idols Suck Without Your Ticket Sales

Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Concerts / Tours, Gossip, Videos,
Poor ticket sales are forcing season 9’s American Idols into smaller venues. Host Ryan Seacrest is even to promote special deals on his Twitter account, personally schlepping tickets to his 3 million-plus followers.
And we think we know why. If you listen to the terrible, terrible rehearsal performance of Kelly Clarkson’s “My Life Would Suck Without You” in the video above, you might, too.
If you want to remember more tuneful, happier times, you can read all our American Idol 9 posts over on TV Envy.

VIDEO: Pink Sings Adam Lambert Song

Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Concerts / Tours, Performances, Videos, Covers, Pop,
Adam Lambert may have been the one who recorded “Whataya Want From Me,” but that doesn’t mean he’s the only person who can perform it.
Although Pink - the tune’s songwriter - claims Lambert can “sing it way better” than her, I’m not sure I actually agree.
After listening to her cover the track during her European tour, let us know what you think. Should Pink have just kept the song for herself?
