The Wanted is in talks to tour with Chris Brown this summer. The group revealed that they have spoken to the singer about joining him for the North American leg of his tour in July. Siva Kaneswaran, Tom Parker, Max George, Jay McGuiness and Nathan Sykes hope the exposure will introduce them to the urban market.
"Scooter - our manager - told us the other week that they'd spoke. We met Chris Brown - he came in and saw us at the studio when we were rehearsing - and he was actually really sound. He said he liked our music and stuff. He'd spoke to Scooter since then and said he'd love to do a song with us so who knows? If it's the right song then we'll do it," Max told radio station Capital FM.
"There's talk about us, he's got his American tour coming up in July, maybe we'll go on that for a few shows which will be cool. Hitting that urban market - The Wanted go urban," Tom added.

Kevin Richardson is rejoining the Backstreet Boys. The 40-year-old singer departed the group in 2006, but is now planning to get back with his bandmates Howie Dorough, AJ McLean, Nick Carter and Brian Littrell to record new music in London this summer.
Nick announced the plans on-stage over the weekend saying, "We're coming back to London in July for three weeks to record our new album. It's been a long time since we've been played on some radio stations and we want all our fans to make pickets and start a protest outside these stations to get them to play our songs."
Discussing Kevin's return, a source told the Daily Star, "Kevin missed the rest of the guys, who he counts as brothers as well as bandmates, and felt now was the right time to return."
The Backstreet Boys are currently touring with New Kids on the Block as part of supergroup NKOTBSB and Donnie Wahlberg recently revealed they were keen to go on another global run of shows in the future.

Jack White Already Has Enough Songs for a New Album

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Artist News, Concerts / Tours, Rock, New Releases,
Jack White already has enough material for a follow-up to Blunderbuss. The former White Stripes man still has 12 as-yet-unfinished songs that didn't make it on to his debut solo offering and is already considering its follow up.
"We had enough for an album at one point, but I just kept going. I've got another 12 songs that I haven't finished yet," he said.
Jack is planning to play tracks from across his career and various bands when he performs live, but they may not be in the form fans expect: "There's songs that White Stripes never really played live, or Raconteurs never really got that into, or songs that I brought to the table in a band - songs like 'I Cut Like a Buffalo' - and now I can elaborate on them."
Additionally, Jack revealed he refuses to draw up a set list before shows and his backing musicians include one all-male and one all-female band because he doesn't want to "bore people."

Lisa tragically died at the age of 30 in a car accident on April 25, 2002 in Honduras, but Tionne and Rozonda want to honor her memory by including her in their tour, which already has five dates lined up and more planned, according to TMZ.

Sinead O’Connor Cancels 2012 Tour

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Artist News, Concerts / Tours, Alternative,
Sinead O'Connor has cancelled the remainder of her 2012 tour.
The "Wolf is Getting Married" hitmaker - who has suffered a series of public breakdowns and relationship issues with husband Barry Herridge in recent months - has claimed it is with "regret" she is ending the tour but is doing so because of "bipolar disorder."
"With enormous regret I must announce that I have to cancel all touring for the year as am very unwell due to bi polar disorder. As you all know I had a very serious breakdown between December and March and I had been advised by my doctor not to go on tour but didn't want to 'fail' or let anyone down as the tour was already booked to coincide with album release. So very stupidly I ignored his advice to my great detriment, attempting to be stronger than I actually am. I apologize sincerely for any difficulties this may cause. While touring will be cancelled I do hope and plan to appear at the Curtis Mayfield tribute in The Lincoln Centre in July.(sic)" she wrote on her website.

Dr. Dre Wants Hendrix and Gaye Holograms

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Concerts / Tours, Performances, Hip-Hop & Rap, R&B / Soul, Rock,
Dr. Dre hopes to see Jimi Hendrix and Marvin Gaye return to the stage as holograms.
The rapper was a key figure in developing a hologram of Tupac Shakur - which performed on stage with him at Coachella on Sunday last week, fifteen years after the star's death - and is hoping the technology can be used for other deceased performers, such as the guitarist and the soul legend.
"Hopefully, different artists are able to bring out their favorite artists. Hopefully, we can see Jimi Hendrix and Marvin Gaye. Let's see what happens," he told TMZ.
The "Forgot About Dre" rapper is rumored to be taking the holographic Tupac on tour, but has to find a find a way of making it project 360 degrees: "I'm not sure right now, if there's a technology that's happening where the hologram could be 360 degrees. Right now it's flat, it just looks like it's three dimensional from the front, but I'm working on some new and different things for the future."

Madonna Hires Lourdes Clone for Tour

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Concerts / Tours, Gossip, Rumors, Pop,
Madonna has hired a lookalike of her daughter Lourdes to throw the paparazzi off-scent during her forthcoming MDNA world tour.
The "Hung Up" singer - who has also taken on five clones for herself - took the drastic step of getting a body double for her 15-year-old daughter following advice from Lourdes' father Carlos Leon.
"Carlos suggested hiring a Lourdes lookalike to take the pressure off the teenager," a source said.
The move has apparently worked wonders for Madonna's relationship with her first-born - who recently upset her famous mother when she was photographed smoking. "Things have been tense and difficult between Madge and Lourdes. Madge is tense and overworked in preparation for the biggest tour of her life, while Lourdes is establishing her independence and trying to make her own mark on the industry. But they have bonded over finding the perfect girl to pretend to be Lourdes. It's been a lot of fun. Lourdes thinks it's cool to have a doppelganger because it makes her feel important," the source told The Daily Star.
The tour kicks off on May 29 in Tel Aviv.

The Darkness are hoping to collaborate with Lady Gaga. The "I Believe in a Thing Called Love" hitmakers are set to support the pop superstar on her forthcoming Born This Way Ball tour and are hoping it will lead to entering the studio with the star.
"We were chosen by her. She had a shortlist of artists available and she didn't like any of them, so she chose us instead. Will we collaborate? I'm sure there's a cover we could do. It would be quite vaudevillian and spectacular," said the group's frontman Justin Hawkins.

Tupac Shakur World Tour ‘Makes Sense’

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Artist News, Concerts / Tours, Rumors, Hip-Hop & Rap,
It "makes sense" for Tupac Shakur to go on tour around the world - 16 years after his death.
Holographic projection firm Musion, creators of the hologram of the deceased rapper which appeared on stage with Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg at the Coachella music festival on Sunday think it would be a great idea for Tupac - who was shot dead in a gang killing in 1996 - to go on the road.
"This is obviously a historic and exciting initiative that we're all witnessing currently, and it would make sense for them to bring it to Europe and maybe take it to the rest of the world," head of Music at Musion Sanj Surati told NME.
Surati added the firm is "very proud" that the hip-hop stars had chosen to use its technology during the show. It was previously revealed that representatives for Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg plan to discuss logistics for a tour involving the two performers and the virtual Tupac with one option being a stadium tour involving other hip-hop stars, including Eminem, 50 Cent and Wiz Khalifa. However, they could stage a more limited tour, featuring only Dre, Snoop Dogg and Tupac's hologram, in smaller arenas.
