Lionel RichieLionel Richie wants to work with Adele and Sir Paul McCartney.

The "Hello" hitmaker is releasing an album of his hits re-recorded with country artists - including Shania Twain and Willie Nelson - but says there are still some artists on his list he would love to work with.

"If I had my choice right now - Adele, I would go into the studio, say, tomorrow four o'clock. Then you have Coldplay - any day of the week. McCartney, forget about it! That guy, still, has got it all. He was a Beatle, one of the guys, right? But just give me some time and we'll find all these people."

Lionel, 62, also said he picked the title of his country album, Tuskegee, after the town in Alabama where he grew up, which was also home to his earliest musical inspirations:

Limp BizkitLimp Bizkit will collaborate with Lil Wayne on their next single.

The "Faith" hitmakers have joined forces with the rapper for "Ready To Go," which will drop next week and marks the group's first release since they signed a record deal with Cash Money Records.

"It'll be a great way to let the world know that [Limp Bizkit] is a part of us. It's rock but it's hip-hop-rock. I think we got that hip-hop-rock swagger," said label founder Brian "Birdman" Williams.

The music executive also hinted the group - who were dropped by Interscope Records in 2001 following poor sales of their sixth album Gold Cobra - are planning to record a new LP: "They're just gonna go in and get it done. We're looking to put an album out this year. [Frontman] Fred [Durst]'s all the way in - he understand what we're about, hard work and dedication. To me, they're one of the hardest workers in the business."

Although Cash Money is a hip-hop label, Birdman believes Limp Bizkit is the "perfect match":

Adam Lambert with Queen at the MTV EMAsQueen says Adam Lambert will be a "great Interpreter" of Freddie Mercury's songs at Sonisphere.

The "We Will Rock You" group confirmed on Monday they will headline the rock festival in July, with former American Idol contestant Adam taking the place of late frontman Freddie - who passed away in 1991 - and guitarist Brian May is sure he can step up to the challenge.

"I think all the vibes will be good. And I'm, sure that if Freddie was around, or if he is around then he'll appreciate what we're doing, because its interpreting those songs and those songs should live. A lot of those songs are Freddie's and you've got a great interpreter there in Adam. It will be challenging - my God, it will be challenging, but you've got to set yourself big hurdles to get over really, that's what life is about," he told BANG Showbiz, speaking at Tuesday night's BRIT Awards.

Queen have previously performed with Adam on the final of American Idol in 2009, and again last year at the MTV European Music Awards, where they received the Global Icon trophy. This summer's show is bound to be poignant as Queen played their last ever show with Freddie in 1986 at the same ground in Knebworth as Sonisphere takes place.

L.A Reid and Avril LavigneAvril Lavigne is grateful for the freedom she was given by L.A. Reid. The "What the Hell" hitmaker was given her first record contract by the American Idol judge when he worked for Arista and she is pleased he allowed her to write her own material.

"L.A. Reid is the man. My experience was he signed me, he believed in me, he got me. He always gave me my freedom to be who I was, to make the type of record I wanted to. On my first album, I was so young - I was 16 when I was making it. Everyone figured that people would write songs for me, and I was like, 'No, I want to write my own music.' It was so different from anything that was out there. L.A. was like, 'She's onto something. Just let her do her thing.' So it was great."

Avril admits she found it difficult working away from the music boss and feels "re-inspired" after signing a deal with Epic Records, the label now headed up L.A.. She added in an interview with WWD, "Later on down the road we got separated when he moved to another record company, and other people came in and took over. It was difficult for me, especially on my last record, working with all these random people that really didn't even understand me at the record company. And now I get to be back with him, and it's exciting again. I'm totally re-inspired. When you're writing and creating, you can't have these businesspeople come in and try to be all business. [L.A.] finds a balance between business and creative, and he's really good at not making it weird or interfering in the creative process."

David Guetta and Nicki MinajDavid Guetta enjoys bringing out Nicki Minaj's "full capacity as a singer." The "Sexy Chick" hitmaker has worked with the rapper on a number of tracks including "Where Them Girls At" and "Turn Me On," and loves it when she sings as well as raps verses.

"She's [Nicki Minaj] the no. 1 female rapper. But she can also sing, which adds something different. These are all the things that attracted me to her. "I wanted to take her someone unexpected musically. I think the work we have done shows the full capacity of her as a singer. I'm in love with her voice! I'm looking forward to working with her more in the future."

David - who is behind some of the biggest hits of recent years, including Flo Rida's "Club Can't Handle Me", Akon's "Sexy Chick" and Black Eyed Peas "I Gotta Feeling" - has previously told how he chased Nicki for months to get her to appear on "Where Them Girls At."

"To be honest, it's very rare that I call artists - most of the time they call me. I chased her for a year because I really wanted to work with her. The first time you're in the studio with someone, it's sometimes difficult. She was being a little shy or reserved, you know. And then I played that record and she started to jump from her chair and scream. And she was like, 'Wow, I love this!'"

RihannaRihanna completed her Loud Tour at London's The O2 venue last night. The "You Da One" singer finished her huge 98 date tour in the English capital, and thanked fans for all their support over the last year.

Before her encore of "Take A Bow," "Umbrella" and "We Found Love," she told the crowd, "I cannot believe this is the last show. It really sucks. I'm going to miss you all so f***ing much. This tour has been one of the best experiences of my life, I've grown so attached to you all - more than I ever thought I could be."

The Loud Tour ran from June to December and included dates in North and South America and Europe, including 11 nights in total in London, with the final three filmed for a live DVD. However, the tour was not without upset as the 23-year-old star had to cancel two dates in Sweden in November due to exhaustion.

The crowd last night included fellow pop singer Cheryl Cole, who was hugely impressed with Rihanna's singing. She tweeted afterwards, "Just left last #Loud concert. Amazing!! To put on 98 of the same shows like that and give your all takes something special. (sic)"

Justin Bieber and DrakeJustin Bieber and Drake will record together next month. The "Find Your Love" rapper is "excited" about collaborating with 17-year-old singing sensation Justin for a track to go on his forthcoming third album, Believe.

"Me and Justin are going in the studio in January to work on his new album, so I'm excited about that. That's definitely gotta be one of the most talented kids doing music right now," Drake told a crowd on Saturday in Los Angeles.

Justin previously revealed Drake would be among a number of "cool" artists he had lined up to work on his next record: "I'm working with a lot of cool people. I'm working with Kanye. Drake is gonna work on the album with me and a lot of different artists."

While Justin is pleased with the stars who will feature on his next album, he has previously admitted he would most like to record a track with his girlfriend, Disney starlet Selena Gomez: "Maybe I'd sing with Selena, I've heard all of her new stuff and it's amazing. I would also love to work with Will.i.am as well as Jay-Z on a cool, fun record."

Trent ReznorTrent Reznor is planning to spend next year writing material for Nine Inch Nails. The musician retired the band from live performance in 2009 so he could concentrate on other projects, but has said he plans to spend 2012 writing material with the project "in mind."

When asked if he plans to work on Nine Inch Nails soon, Trent told BBC Radio 1, "For sure. I plan on spending a good portion of this year coming up writing with that in mind. Let's see what happens."

Since putting the project - of which he is the sole permanent member - on hold, Trent has started a new band, How to Destroy Angels, and worked on the Oscar winning soundtrack to The Social Network with Atticus Ross. Trent and Atticus have also teamed for another soundtrack, to the US remake of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, which he said was the sort of film he was more comfortable working on.

"I started thinking, 'Finally! Now there's serial killers, tension, anal rapings and stuff like that!" he joked. "But there was an experimentation with familiar - almost orchestral-sounding things but treated in an unusual way. This isn't a soundtrack that's filled with Star Wars-esque theme songs."

Amy WinehouseAmy Winehouse didn't like the James Bond theme she was set to record.

The singer - who was found dead at home in London in July - worked with Mark Ronson on a song which was set to be recorded for the last film in the British spy franchise Quantum of Solace, but the sessions were abandoned after they reportedly fell out. At the time, it was claimed Amy - who had a history of substance abuse problems - was unfit to record the track but her long time collaborator Salaam Remi claims the situation was different when she called him to visit her in a London studio.

"'It's this James Bond theme. I don't like the track. They've given me these chords to write to, but that's not how we work,'" he said she told him.

Instead, the Back to Black hitmaker started on another song with Salaam, which became "Between the Cheats," one of the songs included on her posthumous album Lioness: Hidden Treasures. "She showed me the chords and I said, 'What do you want it to sound like?' She said 'Doo-wop. I said, 'give me 20 minutes,' so she went off somewhere, I sat down with her engineer, played bass, drums, guitar, piano, real quick. 'Is that what you want it to sound like?' she said, 'that'll work' and she went into the vocal booth and sang it," Salaam said.

Snow PatrolSnow Patrol wants to collaborate with Lady Gaga because she is "much smarter than your average pop star."

The "Called out in the Dark" group has a lot of respect for the "Bad Romance" hitmaker and would love to get her into the studio to add something different to one of their songs. "I think she's pretty incredible. To get her to guest vocal would be a coup. I love watching her and reading her interviews. She knows exactly what she's doing, she seems so much smarter than your average pop star and is really talented. I've seen those early videos of her playing New York gigs, she's just an amazing keyboard player, great musician, great writer, she's the whole deal, drummer Jonny Quinn said.

The only thing which would make the band hesitant to work with Gaga, however, is the fact that Coldplay recorded the track "Princess of China" with Rihanna, and the group is worried people would think they were "copying" them.

Among their other rock star friends, Snow Patrol count funk band Red Hot Chili Peppers, but they're not sure if trying to marry their very different styles would have great results: "We know the Chili Peppers they're really good guys, I know Chad the drummer quite well but I don't know if us collaborating with them would work out," Jonny said.
