The Wanted Confirms Justin Bieber Collaboration
The Wanted have confirmed that Justin Bieber will appear on their new album.
The "All Time Low" hitmakers have revealed the follow-up to 2011's Battleground will feature a collaboration with the "Baby" singer, along with fellow Brit Rita Ora and many other big names. When asked who they have teamed up with for their new material, member Max George told website MTV UK, "[Producer] Dr. Luke, Rita Ora, Nasri who does a lot of Bieber's stuff and Justin himself."
The group are happy bandmate Nathan Sykes is on top form after recovering from emergency throat surgery and believe their upcoming LP will be their "best album" yet. Speaking at the Capital FM Summertime Ball at London's Wembley Stadium yesterday - where Nathan made his first stage appearance following the operation - Max added, "Nath's back, so I think it's gonna be our best album yet and hopefully there'll be a couple of surprise collaborations there as well."
The Wanted - which also includes Jay McGuiness, Siva Kaneswaran and Tom Parker - recently debuted their latest single, "Walks Like Rihanna," and were relieved to find out the "Diamonds" hitmaker approved of the track. "We met her manager, Jay Brown, in New York and he said he really liked it and she really liked it, which is always a good sign cos if she hated it we'd be in a pretty bad place," Tom said. However, Max insists they would have released the track even if the pop princess didn't approve, adding, "We'd put it out anyway! I think she's avoiding us since we wrote that one."
"Walks Like Rihanna" is set to be released on June 23.
