The Cure to Release New Album
The Cure are set to release a new album.
The "Friday I'm In Love" band, who will play two sold out Teenage Cancer Trust shows at London's Royal Albert Hall next month, plan to drop their 14th studio album, the follow-up to their 2008's 4:13 Dream this year.
The record, named 4:14 Scream, will be released in the next few months along with a series of live concert DVDs.
Frontman Robert Smith and bandmates Simon Gallup, Roger O'Donnell, Jason Cooper and Reeves Gabrels are also planning to take another "Trilogy" style show around the globe in 2014, to mark 35 years since the release of their debut album Three Imaginary Boys.
The post-punk band plan to perform their 1980s albums The Top, The Head On The Door and Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me in their entirety.
It is the third time the band have undertaken such gigs, the first in 2002 featured the albums Pornography, Disintegration and Bloodflowers, while the second under the title Reflections in 2011, featured Three Imaginary Boys, Seventeen Seconds and Faith in full.
