Katy PerryKaty Perry's next album won't all be about her heartbreak.

It has been speculated the "Part of Me" singer's third album will be about her upset in the wake of her divorce from comedian Russell Brand, but she has promised there will be an upbeat side to it as well.

"I'd never devote a whole record to heartbreak. I'm happy, I'm in a good place, I'm looking forward to my future," she told The Sun.

Katy also spoke about scenes in the movie when her marriage was in trouble, and why she included them in the film: "For me it was important with this movie not to ignore that elephant in the room. I am not hiding anything, but I had to put it in with integrity and consideration because that's how I make all my choices, because I believe in karma."

Speaking of scenes in Brazil where she is crying before going on stage, the 27-year-old added, "That's toward the end of the tour and I am obviously exhausted and things aren't going well for me personally. I am trying to keep that to myself and it started cracking through. It is a bit of a symbolic moment, rising above that pain on that lift [to the stage], and sometimes I had to turn it on. I turned on my spinning outfits and my spinning peppermints."
