Eminem is "starting to toy" with his next album.

The "Love the way You Lie" rapper is currently in the studio finishing the debut record with his hip-hop supergroup Slaughterhouse, but has also started gathering ideas for his next solo album.

"Right now, I'm actually finishing up everything on the Slaughterhouse album and kind of getting into my next record a little bit. That's basically the couple of things that I've been working on. I'm starting to toy with a new album, yes," he said.

Slaughterhouse sees Eminem team with fellow rappers Joel Ortiz, Joe Budden, Crooked I and Royce da 5'9" and he thinks they have are a much needed force in hip-hop: "I really feel like this group, hip-hop needs this, man, and I think people are going to see that when this album comes out man."

Royce da 5'9" has previously talked about Eminem's role as executive producer for Slaughterhouse: "He'll come in and say 'Maybe change a line here, change a verse there, maybe move this around, let me add an instrument here. That's just what an executive producer does. From day one, Marshall was hands-on."

Eminem released his last album, Recovery in 2010.
