Duran Duran Plan New Album
Duran Duran are planning a new album for 2014.
Bassist John Taylor has confirmed the "Ordinary World" rockers - also made up of singer Simon Le Bon, drummer Roger Taylor and keyboardist Nick Rhodes - will be going back into the studio early next year to start working on their 14th studio album, a follow up to 2010's All You Need is Now. "We are going to get back writing another record at the beginning of next year and we are really looking forward to it. I don't think the new album will be finished by next year but we can always hope. We'd like to have a new album for 2014 because it's what we do," he said.
The 52-year-old rocker insists the band have no plans to retire and they want to keep making music until people stop listening to them because the group still "really value" each other's work. "We are all, thankfully, fit enough, healthy enough and want to do that. We love our jobs. We all do. So while there is audience there that wants to listen to us then we are going to keep going," he added.
Duran Duran's Live DVD A Diamond In The Mind is out now.
