Florence Welch’s Eclectic Concert Style
Florence Welch loves dressing in outlandish outfits when she is performing, and cites one leotard she donned for a festival performance as her favorite.
“My most outrageous stage outfit was a cabaret theme with big glittery pants, a tuxedo and a bow-tie. For a festival once I wore a lime-green catsuit with a slit down to my naval. I looked like a sort of deranged superhero version of Peter Pan. I’d been on tour with MGMT, and me and Andrew VanWyngarden kept swapping outfits. He gave it to me to wear,” the Florence + the Machine star said.
The 23-year-old star admits her home is just as eclectic as her dress sense, and she has a collection of stuffed birds.
“I live with my mother and my step-dad and six brothers and sisters, so it’s quite chaotic. My bedroom is like a junk shop - I’ve got clothes hung around the walls as decoration, bunting and Indonesian fans,” she revealed to Britain’s Elle magazine. “Then there’s my 70’s disco cocaine table, birdcages and taxidermy birds. It’s an explosion of color and tat.”
