Madness at Mall for Justin Bieber
Vampires weren’t the only ones causing a commotion yesterday.
A scheduled appearance by 15-year-old Justin Bieber ended in chaos and disappointment at a Long Island, NY mall yesterday. According to the Associated Press, nearly 3,000 girls waited - some nearly overnight - for a chance to see the Canadian singer. Unfortunately, their hopes were crushed when the event was abruptly canceled.
Unable to control the massive crowd, police forced the “One Love” artist to pull the plug, even before Bieber had a chance to get into the facility. “They are not allowing me to come into the mall. if you dont leave I and my fans will be arrested as the police just told us,” Justin wrote on Twitter.

Ironically, it was a lack of tweets that contributed to the arrest of Island Def Jam Records senior VP James A. Roppo. Officials claim he could have done more to disperse the gathering—including posting a message on Twitter. “the event at roosevelt mall is cancelled. please go home. the police have already arrested one person from my camp. I dont want anyone hurt,” Bieber later typed.
A total of five people were reportedly transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
