Britney Spears Thought Her New Video Was Too Racy
As fans all over go gaga over Britney Spears' latest music video for "Work B***c," it has forced the pop star herself to question her hypersexual image.
In a recent interview with a Boston radio show, the mother of two commented on her experience in the editing room for the making of the music video: "Oh my god, we showed way more skin and did way more stuff for the video then what is actually there. Like, I cut out half the video because I am a mother and because, you know, I have children, and it’s just hard to play sexy mom while you’re being a pop star as well."

When asked whether she has a different image of herself that she'd like to project, Spears answered, "A lot of sex goes into what I do. But sometimes I would like to bring it back to the old days when there was like one outfit through the whole video, and you’re dancing the whole video, and there’s like not that much sex stuff going on… It’s about the dance and it’s about being old school, it’s like keeping it real and just making it about the dance. I would love to do a video like that."
Despite how she would like to be portrayed, Britney is still Britney Spears - but does she really have that much control over her image? Her father, Jamie, was quick to release a statement regarding his daughter's comments in the interview: "Britney is never pressured into anything. She reviews all creative and for her 'Work Bitch' video she discussed toning down some parts in finding a balance of sexy and being a mom."
When will they just let Britney be Britney?
