Bob Geldof Tired of His Own Band Aid Song
There are songs you could handle listening to only once a year. Then there are songs you could completely do without.
For Bob Geldof, a classic Christmas tune he co-wrote back in 1984 falls into the latter category.
Although that Band Aid track -- which inspired the formation of USA for Africa -- helped raise money for Ethiopia, the song only makes the composer cringe now.

"I am responsible for two of the worst songs in history. One is ‘Do They Know It’s Christmas?’ and the other one is ‘We Are The World,’” Geldof stated. “Any day soon, I will go to the supermarket, head to the meat counter and it will be playing. Every ****ing Christmas.”
So how does he feel about the carolers who insist on performing the tune every year outside his home? “Sometimes I think that’s wild because I wrote it. Or else I am thinking how much I want them to stop because they are doing it really badly.”
