A medical setback for Adam Yauch won’t keep the Beastie Boys from producing new music.

Next spring, the trio will release Hot Sauce Committee Part 2 -- a pseudo-replacement for Hot Sauce Committee Part 1.

Before Yauch’s cancer diagnosis last year, the rap group had planned on debuting Part 1 in Sept. 2009. Now, that album will be issued under an entirely new name.

"I know it's weird and confusing, but at least we can say unequivocally that Hot Sauce Committee Part 2 is coming out on time, which is more than I can say about Part 1, and that really is all that matters in the end,” Yauch said.

The songs that were originally slated for Hot Sauce Part 2 will be released at a later time with – you guessed it – a new album title.
