On Gear Live: iPhone 16e Review: Apple Just Killed the Budget iPhone

The Hangover 2 has nabbed a huge star to perform a cameo that could rival Mike Tyson’s Hangover appearance.

Mel Gibson will be appearing in the sequel, though not as himself. Gibson will be playing some sort of over-the-top character in the film. Sources say he's been cast as a tattoo artist in Bangkok.

Mel's cameo raises a lot of questions: How many of his own well-publicized personal problems will be openly mocked in the film … and how will audiences react? Unfortunately, we will have to wait until May 26 to find out.

In case you’ve been on a self-imposed Internet and TV ban for the past few weeks, Glee is going to do a Rocky Horror-themed episode … and everyone’s talking about it. There’s been so much buzz, in fact, that Fox is considering using Glee co-creator and writer Ryan Murphy to launch a new Rocky Horror Picture Show feature-length film.

Murphy has written and directed big-budget Glee episodes like “The Power of Madonna” and “Britney/Brittany.” He also directed Julia Roberts in the recent film Eat Pray Love. Ryan Murphy definitely has the cred to do music and movies -- so why not a movie musical?

So far, reports say that Murphy and Fox 2000 are in talks about doing the project. We hope the discussions go well!

Although the next Saw film isn’t due until October 29, many theatergoers saw pain inflicted in 3D this past weekend.

The premiere of Jackass 3D, a film based on the former MTV series, has already broken franchise and box office records since debuting three days ago. The documentary, which was produced for $19 million, earned a shocking $50.3 million -- approximately $21 million more than 2006’s Jackass: Number Two (and $28 million more than 2002’s Jackass: The Movie).

Paramount’s entry also bested previous October openers. Up until recently, Scary Movie 3’s $48.1 million from 2003 had been the figure to beat.

Meanwhile, Red generated what could have been first-place sized numbers on any other weekend. The action film starring Bruce Willis, Morgan Freeman and Helen Mirren rang up $21.8 million -- enough for second place.

We’ve got it on good authority that the main cast of The Hangover will reunite in the sequel…all except for one.

Don’t worry - Zach Galifianakis and Bradley Cooper are definitely returning. Justin Bartha, the film’s hapless groom, and Ed Helms (the dentist) are also coming back. Even Ken Jeong (whose scene-stealing moment lives in movie infamy) and the film's bride, Sasha Barrese, will reprise their roles. So, who are we missing?

I think we’re about to exceed the cuteness-to-movie length ratio. Amy Adams is in end-stage negotiations to star in Disney’s upcoming Muppets movie. Adams will star along Jason Segel, who will portray her love interest.

Maybe it’s not the most serious role an actress could hope to snag, but Adams owes a lot to Disney. Amy got her first big break in 2007 with Enchanted, Disney’s live-action take on the classic fairy tale. Adams nailed the role and became an overnight sensation - so what’s the occasional puppet movie, every few years or so?

Production on the new Muppets movie is scheduled to begin next month. The Muppets will be released next Christmas.

Neil Patrick Harris

Neil Patrick Harris has managed to conquer television, and now he’s ready to take on film.

The actor has agreed to direct an indie film named Aaron and Sarah, a romantic comedy which (we assume) is about two characters named Aaron and Sarah.

Rumor has it that Emma Roberts and Josh Hutcherson will star in the title roles.

Tom HardyDirector Christopher Nolan will be digging into his bag of favorites once again for the upcoming Batman sequel.

Nolan—who has worked with Christian Bale, Michael Caine and Cillian Murphy on a variety of projects—has tapped an Inception actor to star in his next film about the Caped Crusader.

According to Deadline, has been given a “lead role” in the highly-anticipated film. It’s not known at this time which character he will play.

If the casting rumors are true, this film would reunite Hardy with Bale and Caine—two of his Inception costars.

The as-yet-untitled film is expected to hit theaters on July 20, 2012.
