Kanye West Debuts Runaway Trailer
Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Music, Trailers, Upcoming Releases, Videos,
Kanye West was probably the second most-talked about person at the MTV Video Music Awards this year (second only to Lady Gaga, of course).
West was the closing performer of the night. He figured heavily in Chelsea Handler’s monologue and Taylor Swift’s performance. He even debuted his theatrical film trailer—though it was probably unlike anything you’ve ever seen before.

Joaquin Phoenix’s I’m Still Here: The Reviews Are In
Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Magnolia, Documentary, Satire, Celebrity Gossip, New Releases,
So, remember when Joaquin Phoenix freaked out, quit acting and made an @$$ of himself on Late Night with David Letterman? Well, the documentary he was filming during that time (I’m Still Here: The Lost Years of Joaquin Phoenix) has been picked up, distributed and released…and the critics have already had their way with it. Ready to hear what the experts have to say?
E! Online calls the film an “alleged documentary,” saying it is “either a nightmarish depiction of a mid-meltdown narcissist, or a brilliantly deadpan put-on to make the late Andy Kaufman proud and Sacha Baron Cohen jealous.” While that sounds like something of an insult, the review goes on to call the flick “frequently hilarious,” which is far from all bad.
Whatever else the film may be, E! did not seem to take it too seriously, praising actors who appear in the film that were “in on the joke,” and Joaquin Phoenix for pulling off the “act.”

First Look: Trailer for Wes Craven’s Newest Flick
Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Universal, Horror, Trailers, Upcoming Releases, Videos,
The above trailer for My Soul to Take proves that horror master Wes Craven is still at the top of his game - and that’s good news for Scream fans.
Craven will also be directing the fourth flick in the franchise, but for film buffs who just have to have a taste of terror right now, Soul looks devilishly thrilling.
The plot centers on a group of teens who live in a small town known for its bloody past. When they start to die, they are forced to look amongst themselves to find the killer.
The film is the first that Craven has written and directed since New Nightmare (1994).

VIDEO: Piranha’s Jerry O’Connell Discusses Full Frontal Scene
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Horror, Celeb News, Celebrity Gossip, New Releases, Videos,
When Piranha 3D finally hits theaters, rabid fish won’t be the only things capturing our attention.
During an interview with Jimmy Kimmel, Jerry O’Connell – who plays a “soft core pornography mogul” in the film – made a big reveal. “I show frontal,” the married father of two teased.
Should this spoiler lure you into watching the film, O’Connell would like you to know something beforehand. “There may be some issues with the piranha…and my member…maybe,” he warned. Why? Because a “very cold” Colorado River was rushing into the body of water (Lake Havasu) they were filming in.
“So when you see me, it’s very cold water,” he insisted.
If you’d like to gauge that water temp for yourself, the film opens this weekend.

VIDEO: Faux Breaking Dawn Trailer

Warning: Explicit language and spoilers!
Production on the film hasn’t started yet, but we’ve got a Breaking Dawn trailer just the same…after a fashion. The trailer uses the story line from The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, the novel, to mock a few of the more ridiculous story elements which (we think) will be featured in the upcoming full-length movie.
If you haven’t read the books and don’t want to know the plot, don’t click!

First Look: Christina Aguilera and Cher in Burlesque
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Sony, Drama, Music, Trailers, Upcoming Releases,
If a young Christina Aguilera had chosen to work in burlesque clubs rather than the Mickey Mouse Club, the result might have looked a little something like this.
In the Showgirls-esque film Burlesque, the “Not Myself Tonight” singer brings her small-town dreams to Los Angeles. There, she lands a job as a cocktail waitress, a mentor named Tess (Cher) and a jealous rival named Nikki (Kristen Bell).
The Sony production - also starring Julianne Hough, Cam Gigandet and Stanley Tucci - hits the stage November 24, 2010.
